well it's all speculation until we see a string of games but.....I assume Rodney is good to go and Collins is out for a couple monthsWouldn't an answer require making some broad guesses about Collins' and Hood's health?
I’m not saying anything. I don’t want to jinx our health.
Hard disagreeWith Simons or CJ running point for the bench, average at best.
Clippers and maybe the Lakers (depending on who starts) have impressive benches as well tbh.So besides us there are really only two other benches in the league that I would even characterize as good. The Nets and Heat. I think our bench is considerably better than what the heat have. It's really hard to tell with the Nets. They have some really good bench players. So to battle against bias I would rank the best benches in the league:
Nets
Blazers
Heat
All good. We'll see.Hard disagree
A Slash ball handler would be called a Guns and Roses groupieAnother playmaker slash ball handler would make me feel a bit better, but it's looking strong. If there is real growth from Ant then I will sleep better.
Well played sir.A Slash ball handler would be called a Guns and Roses groupie

Yep. Bench players not an actual second unit. Also you have matchups for every team. Starters plus who is working will finish the game. In some games that might be Trent. Others it might be Melo or DJJ?There is this really weird thing that so many keep talking about which is the idea of a second unit. I don't know if you guys actually watch basketball but that's not a real thing. We have what are called rotations. So even though we are about ten deep this season lets not talk about how second units match up with other second units. Like every team in the league we will stagger minutes so we have some of our best players on the floor at all times, for example I'm pretty sure Stotts' philosophy will continue to be to have Dame or CJ on the floor for every meaningful second of the game.
It came from olshey in his interview the other day.I don't recall where, but I had read that Hood is cleared and ready to start training camp and that Collins will likely be ready in mid January

I don't think Hood being ready to play is the concern. The concern is the level he's going to play at this year since Achilles tear recovery seems to be a 2 year process, and even after that time, most players have lost parts of their game for good
maybe Hood will be an exception...hope so....but any optimism about this injury should be guarded
