It's allowed to create variations on other people's names...if you turn it into a personal attack, that's against the rules. At this point in time, "troll" isn't considered a personal attack, so "TrollHard" isn't against the rules.

Now, if there was a poster who was (unironically) named "Midiot" and someone cleverly addressed them by the variation "Idiot," well then, that would be against the rules. Because they changed the person's moniker into a personal attack.

And yes, even my forum name has been made sport of. I try not to be crushed when it happens.

As for Roy's shunning of the national anthem, perhaps he, like Shooter, believes that what we've witnessed the past year isn't America and therefore the anthem is being desecrated by being played in this not-America. It is entirely possible that Roy is the greatest patriot of all. I'm not sure whether that would be praise or condemnation, though. You don't wanna be an America homer, right?

I was just thinking back to "DaFizzle", and such, that was edited out as personal attacks by you guys. I do understand that moderating decisions are fluid, however.

It's entirely possible we, or I, have been inconsistent at times. I try not to be, but occasionally fail. I vaguely recall that incident, but not the precise circumstances. That was also during the period when at least I (I can't speak for Ed or barfo) was still adjusting to the different standards on S2. Most forums don't have such laid-back rules.

Yeah, that's the one I was referring to. People have tried to bug me with that on various forums. I just process the attempted joke/insult and output some reasonable facsimile of what you humans consider a "lifelike reaction."

I stopped at the original Final Fantasy. Once HCP introduced me to the realm of Neutral Good Cleric/Illusionist gnomes, I was done with videogame prattle.
