White Americans Are Biggest Terror Threat in U.S.: Study

Well, "long ago" is all relative. But society can and has changed quite drastically since that time. And you can blame everything on slavery or jim crow laws, but it's not like blacks were the only people dealing with hardship. The nation as a whole went through several wars, the great depression, terrible poverty. And Blacks like they were the only ones that suffered while the rest of the world was born with silver spoons in their mouths. You have to move forward and stop blaming prior generations for your failures.

White Privilege at it's finest....

It's easy for you to spout BULLSHIT like this when you continue to profit off of slave labor.
You think I profit off of slave labor? In a way, anyone who buys cheap clothes made in sweat shops benefits from slave labor. I try to buy stuff made in America whenever possible. I hope you are not talking about the slave labor of the cotton industry in the 1800's though. I hope you aren't saying I'm profiting off of that.

I think knowing history is really important, and acknowledge what happened etc. But to go around being angry today because of things that happened in prior generations is foolish. Then act like the world owes you something because of it.

The parents of LaQuan Mcdonald vehemently disagree with this vile bullshit you spout..

White police officer who murdered Laquan McDonald makes bail...

More bullshit..

Coming up with one specific instance to paint all of gang violence is silly. That also flies in the face of how one should realistically assess any crime. Every single crime should be assessed on a case by case basis. As I expressed before, most often gang violence is person to person crime and is not anything close to being something that can be labeled terrorism. Stop reaching...

Now, if gang members do a drive by on a funeral of another gang member that's something that can probably be labeled as terrorism. It seems like you are simply trying to find a reason to call black people terrorist.

Dude you are seriously fucking delusional. I think gang violence could be construed as a form of terrorism. Not just black gangs. Mexicans, whites, Asians, I don't care. Italians. Russians. Gangs have used intimidation and violence for hundreds of years to gain strength in politics and government enforcement. The mafia is a perfect example. The amount of violence and corruption in the 20's with prohibition. Gangs in general have been using violence and terror as a weapon for many years.

Will you SERIOUSLY stop making everything about black people and trying to make everyone racist against blacks. It's really fucking annoying, and extremely insulting.

Too bad his parents didn't teach him not to walk down the middle of the road, or to not behave foolishly around police officers.

Did you see the video? There was nothing he did that he deserved to die for. Or to continue to be shot while on the ground.

Why ask Denny? You said it and I'm actually curious what YOU have to say. I'm legitimately interested in knowing where that came from

Slavery has benefited every white person in this country–directly and personally. In a general analogy, if you run a series of foot races over 300 years but prevent 13 percent of the participants from learning how to run for 180 years and then give them concrete sneakers for another 80 years–but allow them "full" access for 40 years, it will take the 13 percent quite a few races to be competitive because the other 87 percent advanced their skills by practice and repetition.

Life is not a foot race, but it is a fact that the average white person would not economically benefit from switching places with an average black person (black households average one-tenth the household wealth of white households). If you believe all people are created equal, there has to be a reason for this–and there is: racism.

The first slaves were brought to this country in the 1600s. After slavery ended in 1865 (the Emancipation Proclamation did not free slaves in the North) and until the 1960s, we lived under laws that overtly discriminated against them. In 1960, most black folks could not vote and had practically no access to higher education. Although the Civil Rights and Voting Rights acts (1964 and 1965, respectively) addressed the legal issues, and legislation like the CRA opened banking to red-lined areas, programs to eliminate disparities have proved to not be adequate.

Before somebody e-mails me with the old canard of “Nobody in my family ever owned a slave,” I’d like to retire that excuse with a personal example: Generations ago, my ancestors fled the horrible conditions in their home countries to establish families in the United States. It was never much of a question as to whether or not we could pick wherever we wanted to live, have access to college or get a mortgage. If my family suffered under generations of knowing that those doors were closed, it would take generations more to overcome that lack of family know-how. In essence, my family zipped right past people whose families were here long before mine. I never even questioned that Rutgers would be open to accepting my application, that the Navy would send me to flight school or that McGraw-Hill or Time Warner would hire me–and that when I was there I would be in the vast majority (there were less than 3 percent people of color in both publications I worked for). I never doubted my ability to start a company and had plenty of friends to mentor me along the way.

If you go back to people being created equally, it is just math that a percentage of our country’s greatest minds were eliminated from the competition simply by fact of skin color, and by extension their families were denied the head-start of their accomplishments. Every white person benefits from this–even people who arrived to the United States yesterday.

Unfortunately, this has hurt our country dramatically. If you caught black households up to white household wealth, it would be the equivalent of injecting the entire GDP of Japan into our economy. Who would benefit? Mostly white people, as the majority would manufacture the goods and services purchased with the “new” wealth.

Yes, he was obviously a moron, walking down the middle of the road with a knife. The shooting may have been excessive, but when police have their guns drawn on you, they'll interpet jerky motions from your hands/pants area as potentially pulling out a gun. I saw a vid of the same exact thing happening to a white guy. It's harsh, but don't make movements like you're pulling a gun out near a cop.

Why don't you understand that's exactly what you're doing when you bring up gang violence to equate to terrorism?

Wow, are you serious?
Absolutely, instead of his parents teaching him that he's a victim of slavery, they should have taught him how to behave like a decent citizen. The world didn't lose much with his death.

Racist shit right here. You don't know what the fuck his parents taught him but you will assume that because he's black. I'm officially done with this now...

But the white guy who points a gun at the police and tell them "no you drop your fucking gun!!" was taken in alive and well... You're so full of shit...

That actually makes some sense. So thanks for sharing as it makes some logical thoughts.

I've seen comments in the past about how white people start out better from the accumulation of wealth for many years. That's an argument I don't agree with as much because I know a ton (mine included, and I'm part native American even though I don't look it) of white families that don't have shit, didn't start with shit and have hadto work their ass off to get where they are.

Why don't you understand that's exactly what you're doing when you bring up gang violence to equate to terrorism?

................. wow.

You're honestly defending gangs. That's what you're doing. You're defending the actions of gangs. Awesome. Way to go man.

Did you read that fucking article?

Prosecutor Brian Davidson, who handled the case, said his office agreed to a plea deal in part because Hill and Sanders are both members of the Hoovers gang, and gang-related cases are notoriously difficult to prosecute because witnesses often don't come forward out of fear of retaliation.

How is that not intimidation? How is that not terror? It's the same shit with the Italian mafia. It's the same with the Russian mob. If you go against them, they kill you. It's not a black thing. It's not a white thing. It's an organized crime thing, and they employ terror tactics to keep people from talking.

Davidson said eyewitnesses -- including Barr, who saw her girlfriend being shot -- wouldn't cooperate. He said Barr fled to Arizona when the grand jury convened to indict Hill and Sanders, and she had to be held in jail on a material witness hold until the men pleaded guilty last month.

This isn't one case. The fucking DA specifically said that they sought a lesser plea deal because it's extremely difficult to prosecute gang members. Stop trying to defend black gangs. They're no better than any other gang. They employ the exact same tactics as other gangs. They're horrible human beings.

I haven't defended anything. And you sound stupid when you say that. I simply said that you shouldn't be comparing gang violence to terrorism. Simply because the times that that happens are few and far between. The only reason why you brought up gang violence is because it's predominantly done by black people. The topic of discussion is terrorism. The only reason why you are conflating the two is because of my former statement. I don't condone anything that gang members do. Get the fuck out of here with that straw man argument.

Just wondering where he got 150k from.

He could have put up the equity of his house, his parents house, his church could have paid for it but I'm guessing it was the police union.

Simply because the times that that happens are few and far between. The only reason why you brought up gang violence is because it's predominantly done by black people. The FBI defines domestic terrorism as :

"Domestic terrorism" means activities with the following three characteristics:

  • Involve acts dangerous to human life that violate federal or state law;
  • Appear intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination. or kidnapping; and
  • Occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S.
Does gang violence include acts dangerous to human life that violates federal or state law? YUP!

Does gang violence intend to intimidate or coerce a civilian population? YUP!

Does it occur within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States? YUP!

Gangs sure as fuck sound like domestic terrorists to me.

Come on, it's absurd to say slavery has benefited every white person in the US. Lots of European immigrants came over here with only the clothes on their back and worked in slave like conditions in factories. Their was also a lot of racial tension between them. Same with Asian immigrants.
