They were justifying the punching of Trump supporters, and just calling them Nazis. They've been going around instigating violence and supporting it with their slogans of "punch a nazi", so of course right wing demonstraters are going to come prepared for a fight. Violence begets violence.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying.

I respect our laws and it is what keeps us great.

If we want to disregard our laws I'll kill anyone who says to gas jews but I'll also kill anyone who lets their dog bark all night.

No, they pepper sprayed a girl in the face who was wearing a Trump hat. And they assaulted several other Trump supporters. Because obviously Trump is Hitler and anyone who supports them is a Nazi so you can punch a Nazi.
 
I’m not much for violence because violence only brings more violence. I am glad that there are cameras taking videos and pictures and I hope that they are circulated and the people preaching hate are ostracized from society. You have every right to say what you want but I don’t have to tolerate your hate.
The best thing we can do as a society is force people that have such hate, out of jobs and society. As long as we continue to employ people who spout hatred they will continue to have a voice.

Give me 100 immigrants who believe in taking care of everyone to 100 “Americans” who have this amount of hatred.

Also, the original protest was over the removal of a confederate statue. Why not let the south keep their confederate flags and statues? It's part of their history. Now all of a sudden this PC bullshit is moving in and forcing them to remove every trace of that history.

If a NAMBLA member was on a street corner yelling about how wonderful it is to fuck children I would punch that fucker. Don't care if I spent a night or two in jail over it. Don't care if he has a right to yell that shit. I would drop him and I would encourage other to do the same to other NAMBLA members preaching the same shit.

Some people feel the exact same way about Nazis and Nazi lovers.

Sin, I agree with some of what you're saying here to a point (I'll explain further below), and you and I agree on other issues as well.

But not this one. Violence of any kind is NEVER the answer unless your life or well-being is in immediate jeopardy. I could never condone anyone, whether it's a white supremacist running people down in a car, or a radical Leftist shooting police officers in Dallas, being violent towards one-another as a first form of communication.

If you have a legitimate claim of self-defense, that's one thing. But there was NOTHING self-defense about running people down with a car. From what I've heard, he wasn't boxed in, and he had other avenues of escape.

To explain further what I said above, in principle, I agree that the Left, as of late, has been pushing a lot of people's buttons. They're behavior, both on social media and in public, has been pretty abhorrent.

But there is no excuse for this kind of behavior, just as there is no excuse for punching a Nazi in the face whom is exercising his First Amendment Rights. These people were exercising their Right to Protest, and that should always be respected, whether or not anyone agrees or disagrees with their message.

In that context, I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree with you here in the strongest terms. This kind of violence was completely uncalled for and cowardly.

You can keep all the confederate statues you want. Fill your yard and house with them. But in public places, on public lands, the citizens of those cities and states have decided they no longer want those statues there.

And the civil war is not being removed from history or history books.

Oh yeah, who gets to decide if someone is a "Nazi". Apparantly some think that everyone who wears a Trump hat is a Nazi. And you equate them to child abusers with your analogy. So you're part of the problem. They would have a right to shoot you in your head if you assaulted them.
 
Why don't these dumb fucks offer to buy the Robert E Lee statue and put it on private land? I wouldn't have a problem with it. Move it and have a big old torch burning party.

I don't think this was justified, but I'm just saying the leftist extremists have been playing a HUGE role in escalating violence, and the left has been SILENT in denouncing that, the rank and file left has actually been supportive of it in a way (just see slypokerdogs posts).

He wasn't a Nazi, he was a white separatist. Many Trump supporters have been assaulting under the "punch a Nazi" slogan that have nothing to do with white separatists.

I remember seeing on the news peaceful Trump supporters getting punched in the face in downtown Portland. That's not right, no matter what excuses anyone wants to make. That kind of behavior does invite further violence. But violence can never be an excuse for more violence; especially at the cost of Freedom of Speech.

What if Muslims demanded we take down the statue of liberty because Lady Liberty offends them because she's not wearing a veil? That's essentially what happened here.
