White separatists have not killed anyone, nor do they call on anyone to be killed. They are in favor of racial segregation. Hell, it seems many black people would be in favor of that, since they think white people are their oppressors.

I think it's more acceptable for white people to say like "Italian" or "Irish" pride etc since they have a better idea of where their ancestors came from. A lot of brown or at least black people don't know where their ancestors came from so I think that's part of why they get a pass on that. Blame the hill folk for ruining the "white pride" thing.

Personally, I think being prideful of what your skin color is is dumb, but that's just me.

... while writing that I found the irony in having pride in sports teams lol

Was he a white separatist? He might have actually been a white supremist. White separtists don't officially condone this type of thing.

Sorry, I haven't been keeping up on these white groupy things. So white separatists don't think they're superior to colored people, they just think they're icky gross and don't want anything to do with them.

From what I understand, White Separatists usually believe in "Separate but Equal". Whereas White Supremacists believe that their race is the chosen, superior race, and everyone else is below them, and should be treated as such.

The problem with White Separatists is that we are so integrated as a society, that it would never work in reality.

I don't know what exactly they claim, but I have a hard time believing that they actually believe Blacks/Hispanics/Jews...... are equal to whites but they just shouldn't mix. That may be a line they say, but it doesn't pass the sniff test. If a white person doesn't want to live with anyone but white people, it seems to reason they might think of themselves as superior. Just a hunch.

I think there are so many problems, but you have certainly laid out one reason why it would never be functionally possible. I suppose, "white separatists" could seclude themselves in some small community, as I'm sure many do, but not societally. Thank god.

Really, that's the only problem is that we are already integrated? Jim Crow laws showed us that separate is inherently unequal.

Or perhaps they see what the media portrays as problems with other ethnicities, and they simply don't want to be a part of that. But they still support the idea that people should have the same freedoms that they do, with the same status ("equal").

Mind you, that's pure speculation on my part. I've never associated with pro-White folks, so take my words with a grain of salt.

If Jim Crow was this country's attempt at "Separate but Equal", then it sure as fuck wasn't implemented very well. At all.

I guess I've always envisioned in my mind "Separate but Equal" as being just that: living in your own communities, but having equal rights and equal access to infrastructure. I've never sat down and thought about it at length though.

White separatism is a form of white nationalism and is explicitly supporting racial discrimination. Let's not get ridiculous--I agree that wearing a Trump hat doesn't make a person a Nazi, but being a white nationalist is close enough to make no never mind.
