WHITE PRIVILEGE II

Would have been better if they used the music from Shook Ones, Part II.

Macklemore is taking aim at white artists -- especially Miley Cyrus and Iggy Azalea -- for jacking black culture to get rich, while ignoring the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Seattle rapper just released "White Privilege II" ... questioning Miley's, Iggy's and even his own motives for doing hip-hop music. In the song's 2nd verse he says:

"You're Miley, you're Elvis, you're Iggy Azalea
Fake and so plastic, you've heisted the magic
You've taken the drums and the accent you rapped in
You're branded hip-hop, it's so fascist and backwards
That Grandmaster Flash'd go slap it, you bastard"

It seems he's lumping himself in with both women -- and the criticisms they all hear about their music -- but Iggy's taken it very personally. She tweeted, "he shouldn't have spent the last 3 yrs having friendly convos and taking pictures together if those were his feelings."

But the song isn't really about Iggy -- you really have to hear the whole thing -- Macklemore goes on to rap more about his own guilt for joining protests. Last November, he marched in a Michael Brown protest in Seattle.

I'm gonna sit this one out so I don't learn anything more about that guy than I have already.

I was so happy I didn't know who Justin Bieber was for a couple of years after everyone else did.

This guy is such a fuckin' fake. Anyone remember the "sorry" text message he sent to Kendrick Lamar after the Grammy awards? If he was so sorry, why would he post that on social media?

Macklemore should STFU with how he handled the Kendrick Lamar situation.

OK....

I've been very critical of Mackelmore in the past, especially after that Kendrick Lamar shit... I've listened and played many of his songs DJ'ing in Tualatin (they love him out there). I've never really liked his music...

But this song was masterfully done.

Kudos.

Ok, let's make a deal. White people will stop making "black music" (though I've never heard any black people sing like Miley, but whatever), and black people can stop using cars, computers, electric light bulbs....you know...anything invented by a white person.

Basketball too?

I give him props for going after Iggy.... that no talent co-opter drives me crazy. But dude, your music still blows donkey balls.

I think Miley is an equal opportunity offender. She co-opts and pretty much destroys any musical style she goes into. Hears her takes on Jolene and 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover? It makes you want to puke in your shoes. Iggy Azalea is more selective and desperate. She's like "I'm going to take on every authentic notion of hip hop, from vocal accents to song structure and I'll cheapen it in the worst way possible. I'll commercialize it while getting every plastic surgery available and get my PR department to astroturf my legitimacy in the media."

Nope, basketball was invented by a white man, and the black people hijacked it, just like Miley Cyrus hijacked black music, so that's out. They can rap, but they can't use a mic or any electronic equipment, nor can they transmit or record their music on any modern media, that means no radio, tv, cds, mp3s....

In exchange, white people will never do this:

Whats his next song, Rape Culture aint nothing to fuck with?

sent from a phone you've probably never heard of
