huh? Public relations move? He has done a solid job of retooling this team after several posters in here said we had very limited resources to improve this team and that we would worse this year.

But we're not. And we're also out from under Turner's contract.

Every GM and trade involves some amount of luck. I haven't seen any objective evidence that Neil somehow has received more luck than any other GM.

Actually, we're out of all of our 2016ers contracts. Of course, we have Bazemore who started out as someone else's 2016er.

Well last 4 years the Heat have been eliminated in the 1st round 2 of them and didn't make the playoffs 2 of them. So I think they have bigger problems then Whiteside the last 4 years. If they think Bam the answer in the middle to lead them then the Heat might have a long season next year. When Butler going get tire of this team like he has his past teams. I like the trade due to Whiteside fits Stotts defense scheme plus he is rim protector and plus rebounder in this league. With Zach and Whiteside at the 4 and 5 I feel good are rim will be very protected next year.

You mean like what Collins projects to be? I might venture Skal as well. Seriously, with a healthy Nurk, that could be the best defensive foursome of bigs in the league.

Perhaps. But it was never going to happen in Portland. I wish Meyers well and I hope he does succeed.
