Who can we get for Miller?

Why do you guys listen to this guy???? he is just trying to piss you off

Question: If a five year old was arguing with you and was telling you that Blake is better than Miller would you argue with him? Just let it go, pretend hes 5, and most likely he IS somewhere close to that age

Miller himself has averaged over 16 points a game the last two seasons; he might be able to expand on his scoring on our 2nd unit. He could post up in a lineup that doesn't really have any post-up players. Of course he would have to accept his limited playing role for that to work.

As far as trading him I don't think he really has that much value (possibly due to defensive deficiency and reluctance to accept secondary role) except maybe in combination with other players.

Wrong. Blake hasn't been in the league for 10 years. This is only Blake's 7th season. By the time Blake is in his 11th season, he will have won many playoff series and probably even a championship.

Sorry shoulda clarified. My point is that Blake hasn't made it past the first round either. And I would argue that Blake has been on some teams as good, if not better, than any Miller has been on to date. Really, though, Blake hasn't done anything to me to show he's a winner in this league either. I felt like Blake hurt us in the playoffs last year. He caught a fair amount of heat for his performance, especially at the end of a couple games. I'm hoping the experience makes him stronger when he reaches the playoffs this year, and I think he'll be better for it. But that's just hope at this point.

1. I'm not pissed off.

2. Who cares? It's just a debate on a basketball board forum. I don't agree with his POV on Blake, likely never will. But I'll still debate and chit-chat some b-ball.

BLAKE HAS BEEN ON BETTER TEAMS, Because Blake made those teams better!!!

I don't think he's really trying to piss anyone off. He has an opinion of a player. He's a bit attached to the guy, more than I understand. But really...what's your point?

No, he is clearly trolling, and hes doing it on purpose

Well, I think he sincerely believes Blake is one of the more/most valuable players on the team AND is trying to be extreme about it to combat what he see as "hate" for Blake.

I wouldn't really call it trolling. Emotion-based advocacy is nothing new on sports forums (or politics forums, etc).

I guess we disagree....

Honestly, Blake isn't my favorite player or anything, but people spout lies about him like "he can't throw lobs," "he never passes it to Oden," and "he can't run a fast break." People are literally not paying attention to what happens IN THE GAMES. So tonight, I pointed out every great thing he did which tonight, turned out to be a LOT of things. Blake and Outlaw get bashed in here so I stick up for them.

Haha, Blake IS a very bad low post passer, Blake IS very poor on fast Breaks

if blakes shot is not going down, he is an absolutly worthless NBA player

Miller
Roy
Webster
Aldridge
Oden

2010 Championship, let it bake with those 5 already for fuck sake!

Blake dominated the Suns in his last game as a Blazer. If we had traded Miller and got something good, we'd still be in a good position. That said, of course I'm happy with how he's working out for us.

No, no we wouldn't.

We'd have Steve Blake and Brandon Bass creating our offense every time down the floor... That's worse than what the Clippers had this year.

Learn the game then post.

Yea we would.
All that would have to happen is blake go down with an injury and bayless play like he did vs dallas when roy was out every game.

Steve Blake had 20 pts and 10 assists versus the Suns in his last game as a Blazer and Gentry specifically said this week that he's glad we don't have Steve "the Suns killer" Blake on our team anymore.

As for Brandon Bass, I would not have been a supporter of a Miller for Bass trade. At the time? Miller for Jamison? Yes. Bass? No

I hear Patterson was a Kobe stopper...hows that workin for him?
