McCain, because Obama scares the shit out of me.

After going back and forth, the limited amount of politics I know and have discussed, I'm settling on McCain (don't hurt me).

I just don't think Obama is qualified enough to lead this country. Sara Palin has more experience than Obama. She ran the entire state of Alaska (which if I understand correctly, her position is more important than a couple of years in the Senate), had to deal with foreign policy with Russia and Canada (did a pretty good job as well), and overall, her approval rating as Governor of Alaska was very high.

That being said, I think Obama will win. I just hope he doesn't screw up the country any more than it already has been.

But really, I could really care less. I'm on the fence with both candidates and honestly, I don't follow politics much at all, so my opinion is pretty much worthless. The only time I listen/talk about politics is in my US History class...

Obama, for a large host of reasons, including the record of the Republican party over the past eight years; the lack of transparency in government decision-making; the poor record on envirnomental issues; the fact that one-third of the federal judges were appointed by Bush, and they are the ones setting the agenda on social policy issues right now. I also think that McCain wants to become president for his own selfish reasons: to promote himself, while Obama truly wants to help America become greater.

I'm sorry, I respect your right to believe this, but it's funny as hell.

Hey, my US History teacher talked about it in class. I get all my info from him, so if you want to laugh your ass off, laugh at that idiot, not me. I am only the messenger :ghoti:

Mccain because Obama is a Muslim Terrorist lol.

Nah even though I'm British and have less say I want Obama to win because of his Economic Policies

If he wanted to argue that her executive experience is more important than Obama's legislative experience, then fine. But the foreign policy nonsense is laughable.

I agree. He is a dumbass. He is a Laker fan as well so why don't you come over here, wear your Celtics jersey, come into his class and beat the shit out of him. K? Then force him to vote for Obama (since I think he is a McCain supporter even though he won't tell us until after the election)

I want McCain

and o.iatl man you used to post all the time, now you pop up with the most random stuff lol

Obama, because if McCain's in office he'll continue to steal money from poor people like me. I'd rather that didn't happen, especially if he's making the rich richer in the process.

Obama. McCain cannot lead the GOP, let alone lead the country.

Obama.

I want the new national anthem to be Tipsy by J'kwon.

I'm laughing at you for being your teacher's tool.

Yes, someone who has been serving his country honorably since he was 17 years old clearly is selfish.

McCain, because Obama's economic policies will be a disaster.

Barack Obama because he has the right ideas for the time and is more of a rational and logical thinker than McCain. Obama is on the right side of all of the major issues except abortion. We are in the midst of two major wars, and the Republicans are beating the war drums for a third (Iran) and a possible fourth (Russia). We need a president who can end these two wars and implement a non-interventionist foreign policy, not a president who will just create more wars.

Sarah Palin is the one who spent 7 minutes talking to comedians thinking that she was talking to the president of France. She even said that they were "comedians from France" after they told her that they were comedians from Quebec. This woman knows nothing about foreign policy.

Reverend Jeremiah also served his country since he was 17 years old I believe....but I've been told he's a bad bad man.

That takes the cake as just about the most awful analogy I've ever seen on these forums. You could say he's been a racist, hate mongering idiot for 17 years, serving his country? Absolutely not.

That is your opinion. Mine happens to be the exact opposite. Republicans are not beating war drums, we just happen to understand the significant threat Iran poses to us. We also refuse to ignore a problem until it comes knocking on our door (Hello 9/11?) Obama has lied his ass off on the campaign trail since day one. His plan for our economy will push us from a recession into a depression. It's pretty obvious if you look at his plan with an objective point of view. And honestly, what does Obama know about Foreign Policy? He doesn't even know much about being a Senator. Sarah Palin is more qualified to be President at this point, and you cannot even argue it because it's just simple fact looking at their executive experience.

I think we're headed toward a depression or a drawn out recession (5 to 7 years) regardless of who's elected.

This Reverend Jeremiah Wright didn't serve his country since he was 17 years old?
