Who does Collins remind you of?

I once compared Michael Jordan to an entire list of black basketball players....guilty as charged. Guess I should always include at least one Asian...one Hispanic..etc

You don't get to be annoyed that I made that post prior to your comment about AK-47. And regardless of your delicate sensibilities, the fact is that most of the people were throwing out names like McHale and Chambers. The majority of players in the NBA are black.... so why do we need to struggle to find white guys to compare him to?

It's a moot point...I get to decide what annoys me...I'm not annoyed...I just compared him to AK47....hadn't even read your other post until someone commented on it...it's not personal..it's topical....I don't see people struggling to compare him to white guys....Europe has a lot of them..I'm rarely serious about any of this stuff...labels...just have fun with it

I like the Pau comparison.

In the end Zach will be Zach. He shows some traits from several very good bigs... but he's a long ways from being as good as any of them.

If I was going to buy another jersey it would be his. Too much potential physically and mentally to be average.

He reminds me of a less muscular but less awkward Meyers, but with better defense and footwork, and a faster shot

Well that was inevitable. These threads always go from a very innocent question asking who someone "reminds" you of....to posters turning it into "no he will will never be as good as that player".

Not the question folks.

On order!

He reminds me of a more defensively inclined LMA, but without the ego.

And 10 times the killer instinct. Ive seen more emotion out of collins this year than we ever saw from lma.

Absolutely, but the important similarity that I see is that they're both defensive players first and both 2-way players.
Always thought of Sheed as a THREE WAY player.
Offense/Defense/Walking to the locker room after getting thrown out because he was a total idiot.

Perhaps nobody's "struggling" to find comparisons to white guys. Perhaps those just happen to be the players they find to be the best comparisons.

Some of the non-white comps in this thread seem more of a stretch than the white guys. Sheed? Nah, he was way more athletic, bouncy than Zach. Duncan? Zach's already made more 3's than Duncan did for his entire career. LA? Let's not insult this young man's mental toughness here.

Denver Raef is the comp I've been using for months now, and it's no struggle to get there. It's just the best combo of interior defense and perimeter offense I can think of; it's just coincidence that it happens to be a white guy.
