Who has the WORST job on here?

I don't think doing something at night, without the permission or even knowledge of the horses owner, really can be qualified as a "job".

No doubt. It's a hobby...........akin to collecting, say, stamps........or wine. Yeah, that's it. ;)

T's prize was a vial of 1997 Arabian. A very good year, indeed.

Let me be the first one to say, I DO NOT want to see his collection.

I work at Elephant's Deli. I am basically the store bitch. I have a walkie talkie and anyone who needs help gets at me. I bus dishes, I serve, I take orders, I pour drinks, dish out food, work the register, stock the beverages, keep all of the dining rooms clean and help anyone with anything they need. I wore a podometer for a couple of weeks and averaged out my miles. I averaged 18.6 miles a shift (4 ten hour shifts per week). Most of those miles are spent whilst carrying heavy things like 60 lb. bus tubs and going up and down stairs (the kitchen and dishwasher are downstairs while the serving area is upstairs). Oh, I take out all of the trash and recycling as well.

But, I do get health and dental, decent wages and pretty good tips.

Fun times.

Man, we just ate lunch there today!

Last summer literally the only job I was able to get was part-time custodial at Sherwood YMCA. It was from 10PM-2AM. I didn't make much money with minimum wage 20 hours/week and just absolutely ruined my sleep cycle that took multiple months to get back to normal. I have to take Melatonin daily now to get any type of rest.

On the plus side, it was a job, and without it I would have had absolutely nothing.

Apparently me and El Presidente have the same job. I sit at a desk all day and do nothing but make sure other people are doing their work. Technically I am in sales, and have to produce, but it's easy and boring. I also have zero passion for what I am doing.

On a side note, I once had the best and worst job ever at the same time.

Many moons ago I worked at the front desk of the Jefferson Theater. For those of you that aren't familiar with it, it is a porn theater on 12th and Jefferson. LOl, talk about the use of sanitary wipes.......It was amazing to see the different people and lifestyles come in thaty place, but after about 1 month it got so depressing knowing what these people were doing to themselves and others. When I was at the interview and the owner said he would hire me and if I had any questions, the first and only thing I asked was "do I have to clean anything" He said no and I took the job.

Of course I have the day off. If you stop back by feel free to say hi. I would have loved to see the famous Mrs HCP I have heard so much about.

YOU WISH! I was just there with some work friends. I do the Timber/Beaver games during the summer and we head over there or the Kingston.

Dude, you should stop by The Bullpen sometime!

I used to collect horse semen. Now that was a bad job!

worst job i ever had was handing out samples at costco. that was beyond boring and you had to be nice to everyone.

And I've had other jobs that would be bad, like warehouse jobs, office work in an eggroll factory, etc......even had a job in the summer where I was at OHSU and got to clean the animal research rooms...scooping dog and pig shit, cleaning mouse cages, and sterilizing their caging...it was actually good manual labor though so I didn't get bored, but fuck, handing out samples at costco is fucking SHIT.

I washed cars at a dealership from 91 til 98! Detiled cars/wash 'em for minimum wage! All year round, middle of January. Hated it!

Just caught this video on Ted.com last night. It's Gary Vaynerchuck. Yeah, it's basically a motivational speaker, but he's pretty goddamned good at it.

If you hate your job, watch it. If you love your job (like I do) then watch it anyway, because it's still fun.
