After watching last night? Clearly Kaman is the Blazers third best player hands down.

omg... guys... okay.. tonight I will do some history on Kaman with this team....

He goes 6-7 one night and hes the third best? hahahahahahah

I remember some nights where he went 1-7 with 3 TO's....

Haha, sorry bro, but if your serious, thats really short sighted....
OB i'm sorry my friend. I forgot the Sarcasm Font again. Honestly i pretty much agree that it would have to be Davis or Plums but they do things different so it is hard for me to say really. Different times they do good things.

Okay, cuase you guys were really starting to worry me here. :)

He is the most experienced however. One thing i saw last night was that quick foul on Ginobili totally killing a breakaway after a steal. That was a veteran move for sure.

It was almost a good play. We were in the penalty with a defender behind both their players so I'd rather take our chances in transition than send an 80% shooter to the line. If we aren't in the penalty its a great play.

If we want to win the most games this year Kaman may very well be our third best player. He can protect the rim, hit an open jumper, create some offense. If we play him 28 mins I bet he averages 15ppg which would really help. The guy played great off the bench the start of last season and when Rolo first got hurt. Then he was overused and injured.

We went with youth instead; its would be a lot less shots for Crabbe and others if Kaman is playing. We haven't used him much all year so he's not in game shape or familiar with teammates. Would be interesting if we start throwing him out there the rest of the season.

When I read the question I thought...the bench mob...couldn't really narrow it down...if I had to choose one guy, it'd be Henderson

Our third best player will hopefully sign as a free agent this summer.
that would be great... I'd love to see them make a run at Festus Ezeli. But even better would be having the guy we draft having that sort of potential

Bump.

Any changes to this now? Still Plums or do Crabbe/Turner have a say for that spot?

We have a lot of guys who are good enough to take that mantle as 3rd best player on any given night. We don't have any guys good enough to demand it on a clear cut permanent basis. Not sure it matters.

Props for the foresight.

You think Festus is our third best player?

In the playoffs it was Plumlee. Let's hope it's Crabbe or Turner, because otherwise their contracts will mock us for years to come.

Even though I think it will be Ezeli, This is the number one reason we really need at least one of the two to be third best. We wont be able to move their contracts if an offer comes up if they don't improve and climb the totem pole

When analyzing players, most people place a premium on scoring. I don't think it's very likely that Ezeli is Portland's 3rd leading scorer. I place a premium on interior D. If he's healthy (which could be said about assessing any player), Festus will be a force at the rim and on the boards & should earn 30 minutes a game. I'll stick with my rich man's Pryzbilla comparison. More coordinated catching the ball on P&Rs & putbacks, same strong rim protection, same crappy Free Throw shooting.

Plumlee and Aminu are up there but for the money we paid him, I hope it's Turner.

This thread was started before we signed Ezeli and before Aminu blew up in the playoffs.

I put a premium on either being an elite scorer or a really good all around player.

For the sake of this question, it seems to be asking about 3rd guy closest to Dame and CJ in terms of talent and on-court performance.

It has to be ET this season. Based upon pure athleticism, I'd consider Harkless as a potential number 3. It is also logical to expect Crabbe to step up his game to the next level.

Based upon per 36 numbers, Ezeli could be a monster for us and easily be the 3rd best player. The knock on him is his lack of range. But hey, I'll take ~15PPG from him no matter how he gets the points.

The Blazers have many players that could be the third best player. I could not pick just one.

But I hope it is one of the paint players. We need to increase the amount of floor space where our team has an advantage against most teams.

I think as it stands, Aminu is our 3rd best player..hopefully he'll have some competition for that status
