As someone who will soon put only PapaG stupid posts in my signature because he's kept mine up for hundreds and hundreds of posts, I don't see why the moderators allow PapaG to name names, but those names can't name him back.

My goal is to only end the argument, not to punish, not to declare a winner, not to tally up who committed the most wrongs. Editing one word in Chris' post seemed to calm things down.

I was indeed, and I flat out told Steve Patterson to his face that a winning team would solve all of his PR problems, and that if he focused on getting out of the first round vs. jettisoning all of the "bad seeds", the fans would flock back in droves. Needless to say, that didn't go over very well. Foolish emotional me expected that the Board actually was created to do something and give real input rather than be a PR stunt. I was disappointed.

I went back and reread their exchanges. Papa G was in a shitty mood, that is obvious but there aren't any blatant personal insults. The one IMO that came closest was when Papa G posted "Or, you could act like an emotional basket case and 'be done with the team' how many times now, only to keep coming back?" If he had said "You are an emotional basket case." I would have edited it but he said he was acting like one. It's a fine line but less is best when it comes to editing posts in this forum.

Personally I thought their Jersey Shore and Joe the Plumber posts were fucking hilarious.

I think these discussions about how the forum is moderated are great. I miss stuff and I make mistakes. By you asking me why I did what I did hopefully leads to this being a better place for all Blazer fans.
