Lamarcus has been terrific so far this preseason, the only shooting with a higher percentage is Meyers Leonard. Leonard lead the team last season also in percentage of shots taken beyond two feet from the basket.

Neither one of these guys come close to taking the most shots though nor does it appear that the rest of the team is aware there are better shooters on the floor to assist.

Best shooter? Probably Wright. Possibly Mo. The Clippers announcers were saying something about us having three of the only guys to make more than 100 three pointers over the last such and such years. I can't remember exactly what they said.

3 of only 11 to do it 3 straight years

Also keep in mind that Lillard did it last year and obviously wasnt here to do it the 2 years before.

Hmm, I could have sworn they mentioned Mo..... but it was Wes.

Wright, Batum, and Wes. That's pretty damn impressive, especially with Mo and Lillard on the team as well.

Not impressive. It just means that Stotts, Canales, and McMillian couldn't teach an inside game.

I'd rep ya man, but I have to spread it around before I can do it again.

I looked at Mo and he was putting up huge numbers in Cleveland. 183 three pointers made one year, 159 the next... His three point shooting has dropped off though, since then.

Yeah the only reason Lillard isn't on that list is because he's only been in the league one year. So out of the 89 players in the last three years to have 100+ 3 pointers, we have 4, which is one more than average (~90/30 = ~3).

I hope LMA is our best outside shooter. I'm hoping it's batum or Lillard. We need deadly shooters to open the inside game for Aldridge and hopefully Lopez.

If Aldridge is our best outside shooter, something is very very wrong.

Lillard, he owns the top of the key.

Really happy he's added a mid range game this summer as well.

Well so far in preseason Lillard has taken way more shots than the next closest player on the team. But taking the most shots does not mean the best shooter. Percentage wise, he is in sixth place. Perhaps he should start going for assists when he has higher percentage shooters out there with him. An assist is worth much more than a missed attempt.

Lillard. The other guys are getting open 3s where Lillard doesn't. However, those open 3s tend to be created by Lillard. If Lillard got to stand in a corner and hit open 3s his % would be ridiculous. It's all about DLill.

Marazul is beginning to lay down the foundation for why he'd be a better coach than Stotts.

And that possibility sucks. Things are not right when your star PG is taking the most shots on the team, and missing the most shots on the team while posting 3 assists.
Not just tonight, it is becoming a pattern.

There is no doubt in my mind that Lillard is our best shooter. As Smith was pointing out during the Clipper broadcast he shoots the same way from 5' as he does from 25 '. He makes it look effortless.

I suggest we pick up a top 20 player, a power forward that can run the pick and pop with Lillard. It's obvious from these last two pre-season games that we're missing that piece.

Get it done, Neil!

Meyers Leonard could easily average 25 points a night if given the opportunity.
