In detroit, I believe the face is now Curtis Granderson. We had about a year where we really didn't have one with Steve Yzerman leaving, but now I think Curtis is the king of the city.

I'm gonna go with Big Papi, David Ortiz

Hitting a walk off HR in the ALCS in Yankee Stadium, classic.

Memphis right now doesn't really have the true face of the city. Before Battier was traded away, I would definatly say he was the face, but now, we have no true one. Gasol is probably the closest.

Johnny Unitas, Ray Lewis,Bernard King,Cal Ripken Jr.

Reggie Bush without a doubt. The Hornets will have a tough time winning over fans next season.

IN NewYork without a doubt it's Derek Jeter.

for massachusetts its between either big papi or tom bradythree guys who could have been but weren't on papi/brady standards are tim wakefield, troy brown, and tedy bruschi

Granderson definitely will be in a few years. Right now, it's probably Billups.

In Toronto, I guess it is Chris Bosh, Roy Halladay, Vernon Wells, Mats Sundin and Darcy Tucker.

CB4, I'd say for Toronto its probably Halladay in American culture, and Sundin or Tucker for Canadian culture. American's will take the baseball player over the hockey players any day, and vice versa.

I'd actually reckon that Chris Bosh would be the face in America.

Na def not Granderson yet. I'm gonna agree with the Billups comment.

I think Granderson will be though, especially since the Tigers were more succesful then the Pistons last year.

CB4 already named Toronto so I'll name Winnipeg. You guys probably never heard of him but he's pretty popular here and in Canada.
stegall-milt-winnipeg-390.jpg
His name is Milt Stegall. He is a receiver for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers(CFL) and is tied for all time touchdowns scored.

For the Bay Area I guess it would be Bonds since he draws the most attention and since he's an appropriate face for an awful Bay Sports Scene.

For san antonio it was, and probably still could be, David Robinson. But now I would have to say Tim Duncan and Tony Parker for obvious reasons.

The only canadian athlete worth a damn is ricky williams.

</div>I dont know. Bryant "Big Country" Reeves was a pretty good canadian athlete.

Detroit: After Steve Yzerman retired and Ben Wallace signed with Chicago, it's been a tossup, but Billups, Rip, Verlander, and Ordonez are all possible.Calvin Johnson and Curtis Granderson (for the future).
