The truth is, they probably haven't even been born yet!

But for now.....
 
I would say Jordan as he would have possibly had 8 in a row if he didn't take 2 years off for baseball. James is very close.
 
LeBron may be before he retires. But right now, it's not close. Jordan is 10 time scoring champion, 3 time steals champion, DPOY, more MVPs than LeBron, more NBA Finals MVPs than LeBron, more NBA championships, 1 NCAA championship, 2 time dunk champion. LeBron has a ways to go to make a case over Jordan.

I agree that Jordan is the best ever, but I think it is funny that Jordan seems to get a pass for taking 2 years off for baseball. Everyone assumes he would have won 8 in row, but the fact is he stepped away from the game (whatever the real reason may be), shouldn't that be seen as a negative?

Jordan doesn't need "would've won 8" to be better than LeBron. He won SIX.

I don't think he gets a pass. He wouldn't have necessarily won. The team had to be rebuilt with Kukoc and Steve Kerr, and ultimately Rodman for Jordan to win three more.
 
Btw, Kobe went to NBA Finals 7 times (won 5 of them) in a much much more talented conference than LeBron is in. You can make a case for Kobe over LeBron if you want. And Magic Johnson went to Finals 9 times in 13 years and won 5 times. This "LeBron made it to 7 straight Finals!" isn't AS impressive as people make it. And in the first of the 7, he had two All Star teammates and Dirk had none but Dallas won the title that year.

By the way I NEVER said that I don't do hypotheticals. I said I seldom do. In the Jordan issue I said he could have POSSIBLY won 2 more. Do you disagree?

You didn't up the ante as you clearly stated "So you think losing two of our best defensive starters and our first for Tobias Harris is an upgrade?" I will gladly give you opinions on deals that ACTUALLY happen when they happen, but I don't play fantasy basketball in a forum for the most part as as far as I will typically go is voice an opinion if I think an idea is good, bad or maybe not even eligible to be done. Some like to do fantasy trades and I have indulged a few times, but just not my game. and I don't begrudge them for doing so just as you should allow me the freedom as well to not participate if I so choose.

Notice in my post you responded to I said don't really get into hypotheticals which means that isn't my game but doesn't mean I NEVER do hypotheticals. You also fabricated what I said when you claimed I was suggesting trading both Harkless and Aminu for Tobias Harris and then you admitted later that you knew I didn't when you got called out on it.

Like I mentioned earlier to you that it has become apparent you take offense to pretty much anything I have posted and rather than have discussions you choose to take the low road. Why do you feel that is necessary on your part? If you want to continue taking pot shots at me, so be it, but maybe for the sake of the forum you can try and become a reasonable poster again and not obsess over every one of my words.
