There was no assumption. It was full view black and white. I try and take the high road and you jump right back into the garbage. Have fun with that, but maybe I will keep you open seeing as how it bothers you. :devilwink:

This is all an assumption. Another hypocritical post.

Less than 10 minutes later and you changed your mind and wont ignore me. LMAO. Another false statement twisted to fit your narrative.

You know not what bothers ME that is an ASSumption. It isnt a fact.

Remember? You deal in facts I thought? Yet every other post to me is how you ASSume I am or feel or what not.

Do you sell hip waders to those who read your posts to sift through the shit? Cause its thick and never ending. I might by a pair. Let me know how much.

and in the meantime I am enjoying some discussions going on in various threads while you are having a meltdown. :smack:

Recency bias is helping Lebron these days. People are starting to forget just how incredible Jordan was.

That said, I put Lebron second (admittedly I never saw Wilt, Russel or West play)

Man i love this. You just keep digginh deeper into the hyppcritical eole. Lol.

Keep ASsuming you know things when you dont.
Much like the same thing you have said to others.
Im enjoying this discussion and pawning your posts left and right. Your denial os proven by not addressing your contradictory statements
You are now owned. Keep it up. Im having fun.
Thought you weee gonna ignore me? Just another bullshit false statement.
Im loving it. And im doing this while at work making money, kicking ass and laughing at you thinking you know me and trying to twist things around cause you cant handle getting called out.

Lovin it. Here is a meltdown thread if tou wanan go cry some more in there. ;)

Or you can just go delete a bunch of your hypocritical posts again so you mask how you truly are on here.

You aRe funny though.
That ignore button is still available. Or did you back out on that one too? Hahaha

Must be nice to be the age of a senior citizen but have the mental fragility of a prepubescent teen. Ill try that when i get old.

Someone so thin skinned would use the ignore button
bullshit OB.....it's a filter...mute button...useful feature here...has nothing to do with being thin skinned...has to do with choices....I'd rather you ignored CW than rant at him with short story posts...he's become your new HCP....lot of insults being flung around ...all unnecessary

I didn't say everyone who uses it. I said him. And I'm ranting to someone who flung them out at first and cant handle them back. Do you recall all of his posts he conveniently deleted?

And he is FAR form my new HCP. I like HCP. He plays games. This guy is ... well. . just a cup full of contradictions.

I don't ignore anyone on here. You should know this. ;) However I was told I was going to be ignored and then that was backed up on within minutes. Maybe address that ignore button to him? ;)

well HCP and I have both lived or live in the Grant High School area so maybe bailey has issues with us Grant Generals, lol.

I would like to say I respectfully disagree. I actually believe that recency bias is working against LeBron in this debate mainly because of social media and debate style shows. Jordan came up when it was harder to get to see him than it is LeBron and social media did not run 24 hours a day looking to point out every flaw and bad game. Debate style sports shows was just beginning to take off and people had not yet honed their personalities so you did not have people like Skip Bayless on 5 different channels telling everyone how much LeBron sucks. I suspect had MJ grown up during these times there would have been 20 people like Tony Kornheiser lining up to say how much better Magic was than Jordan currently is.

Sure.....Cup...I recommend the ignore function...when cup deleted his posts he posted an apology for going overboard...I respect that...I've gotten triggered here in OT and deleted posts that were not adding to the conversation...another function that is useful....judging people's use of it is unnecessary too

In your hurry to have another meltdown you must have missed this post right after I suggested we both put each other on ignore:

Have fun with that, but maybe I will keep you open seeing as how it bothers you.

You need to pay better attention and read more carefully. :devilwink:

I'm one of the few basketball fans who thought Jordan got away with murder in his superstar days....he'd scream at refs and not get teed up...he was treated with kid gloves during his day and after the Jordan era every team thought they needed one superstar who gutted the payroll and surround him with cheap role players...end of great team ball at the time......Bill Russell was a team guy.....Tim Duncan was a team guy...Jordan was all about Jordan...I think he hurt the game for a decade while everyone was buying their Air Jordan's and Hanes underwear....sure he was a great iso player....not such a great teammate from what I've read.
I rooted against his Bulls team every season.

I can see current status of social media being so prevalent now days that it can work both for and against a person. In the end, they are simply individual opinions we are sharing as in this small sample size in the forum there will always be various opinions. A lot depends on what generation we all grew up in and often hard to compare one from the other. I grew up initially with Wilt, Russell and Oscar Robertson being the most dominant players to today where LeBron is. All I can say is that they were all special in their own way and should be recognized as such.

Dude, i'm only judging him because he came in here judging everyones opinions.

Second his apology was hollow. he even said he didn't thin the did anything wrong but went and deleted them anyhow. Just because you delete something isn't an admission of fucking up.

However, because I respect you, I will let this be my last post on this topic with him, unless he posts more contradictory hypocritical posts that are aimed at calling out others, then I wil lget back into this game. :)

See, there you go again. ASSuming I wasnt paying attention. I read that. Doesn't change the fact that within ten minutes you backtracked.

The end result is you post post after post on how you tell people they shouldn't assume things and you go on facts, and you sidestep debates and conversations using this response, but here you are doing this same thing over and over to me. Assuming you think you know me, how I feel, who I am etc.
Assuming you know things you don't.

Out of respect to River, I will let this go. But if you continue to call out myself and others in such a hypocritical fashion, I will continue turn the table and call you out in return.

OMG, you're a General? I was a Cardinal.

Oh well, it could've been worse. You could've been a Trojan.

Rest assured, I will continue to post as I see fit and you can dingleberry off my posts and act like a child all you want. It appears I have angered you and that was never my intent but I can't control others emotions as I can only control mine. Meltdowns in forums don't do anyone any good and glad to see you are going to finally drop this.

Enjoy your day. :breakdance:

That is how I have always looked back on Jordan as well. For as much as I see a lot of my friends talking about how LeBron gets every call or never gets called for certain things, which is mostly true, the same happened for MJ as well. One of Jordan's biggest highlight plays is a clear push off on Russell. The NBA has always been set up to cater to the stars of the league. I was also one of the few who never really cheered the Bulls. I also feel like Jordan tends to refuse to give credit to Pippen for being amazing during those championships. Dude was one of the most tenacious perimeter defensive players we ever saw and on the other end was the initiator of the offense in a point forward type of role.

lol, at least we have the Wilson part in common.

Might have been during your time or a little after but my brother in law played as a defensive back for Grant and we were playing Wilson at Wilson and he got in a scuffle with Wayne Twitchell who was their star quarterback and both were ejected. My brother in laws coach at the time told him that was one of the greatest plays of the game.

...I vote for @Orion Bailey & @CupWizier as the greatest players of all-time in this thread and it's not even close. Play on players!

As for the poll, I voted for Larry Bird simply because he was the least athletic super star basketball player I've ever seen. By shear will and determination he became great. He elevated his teammates like no other and he was more clutch than anyone on this list.

That's the sad thing about this country, virtually every citizen gets a vote. I think only landowners should vote.

While we're at it, what's wrong with making the theft of a loaf of bread a hanging offense?
Nothing

More rules were changed for Wilt than any other player - The width of the key and the 3 second rule for starters
Mosts stats: Rebounds in a game, points in a game, averaged 50.2 ppg in 1962, etc.
Led the league in assist one year - as a center.
Played point guard for the Harlem Globetrotters.
One year, he averaged MORE than 48 minutes a game (due to overtimes)
Most. Dominant. Ever.

Now thats comedy, and who woulda thunk after all that, that we would end up liking the same thing? lol.

For you youngsters, I saw Michael Jordan play. Michael Jordan was on my TV. You, LeBron James sir, are no Michael Jordan.

You are right. He is more than.

I watched Jordan too. Again, I would have picked him a year ago, but LBJ is showing no signs of aging or slowing down. Mike might have ben able to play longer and win more, but we will never know. Thats a hypothetical.

At this point, after watching what LBJ has done so far this season and off season. I now rank him better.

Dad would tell me stories about Wilt. I didn't get to watch him, but I've heard and read about him. Much respect for him and Bill Russell.

I started watching the NBA closely when Jordan joined the league. For me, it's Jordan every single day of the week and twice on Sunday!
