Who is your favorite Blazer that kinda got shafted by the Franchise for one reason or another?

wonder if Drexler had a bias against Euros. Drazen and Sabonis, probably two of the greatest international players of all time tossed to the side.
I don't think so. I've read both "Long Hot Summer" and "Us Against The World" which chronicled the 91 and 92 seasons and remember him being quoted as being pro-Drazen. He knew we gave up a stud for an aging vet in Walter Davis.

ah, i have Us against the world at my parents house, gotta read that next time im in town

My choices:
Drazen Petrovic - We probably make another deep playoff run in 93 with Petro on the roster
Brian Grant - Still not sure why we moved him for Shawn Kemp. He was the heart and soul of that 2000 team.
Rasheed Wallace - He was made the scapegoat after everything went downhill. I still don't think he's appreciated enough by the fans here.

Moses Malone got traded before he put on blazer. But was drafted by the blazer from the ABA when they folded.

i

SO mistreated.............

Final answer: me.

The Franchise doesn't appreciate me.

He wasn't the scapegoat. Much of what happened truly was his fault. He shafted the franchise SO much harder than he was shafted by the franchise.

Drazen Petrovic too. He's actually my all time favorite player and I was fucking pissed the Blazers wouldn't let him get his time. I know Drexler was there, but there was definitely room in the rotation.

As much as I love Drazen, He wanted to start. Now... On my video game he does start and I put Drex at SF.
But was he really gonna start over Kersey?

Yes, Blake had a long career so he's only half on my list. But getting dumped four times pushes him up the list.

The richer they got, the less I feel sorry for them.

FIFY

You bastard, lol...

BTW, sorry I couldn't join you at Elkhorn, what did you think?
Loved it. Very beautiful place. It was blowing like hell that morning and the staff said to be careful around the trees. They were really dry and you could here them cracking. Kind of scary. Fortunately, I never hit the ball in the trees......

yeah... And throwing a towel in your teammates face makes you such a great one? Also, never improving your game or working on your body in the offseason makes you a great teammate too? I was GLAD when we traded Wallace...

Nah, we would've benched Duck and gone super small with JK and Buck and the 4/5. That would've been a fun team to watch.

Even if the inmates were cracked and scared, the staff still should have let you interact with the trees.

I was talking about golf silly. They do it sometimes in Bellingham during the warm weather, Aug 1-15.

Jermaine O'Neal. He played well when he got the chance. Then we traded him for essentially an over-the-hill, less-talented version of himself when we could have put him in the rotation in the very same spot.

End of discussion.

Medical staff convinced Walton to take painkillers to come back prematurely from a foot injury, and ended up breaking said foot because he couldn't feel the pain. The end of the 77-78 season was an epic injury shitpile that saw players like Willie Norwood, Dale Schlueter, and Jackie Dorsey see meaningful minutes because Lucas, Gross, Neal, and Steele all went down with injuries. But Walton's issues with his feet were well known and instead of giving him the time to recover, as they did when he got injured midway through the 76-77 season, they rushed him back on the court taking drugs he wasn't comfortable with and it ended up costing him a good portion of his career.

you should have offered the staff moisturizer for the dryness and cracking...I'm surprised you could hear it though..that's usually the joints

When you've made his weekly favorites, you know you've arrived. I've made it twice but jlprk..you need to update the list weekly or else call it your occasional favorites don't ya think?

Asking a Deadhead to take painkillers is like asking me to get free tickets to Blazer homegames
