Who is your role model?

Who is/are you guys's role model(s)?Mine has got to be my dad. He's a doctor who works 10-15 hours a day at the Veterans Hospital. He is very dedicated and works really hard. He also teaches medical students at several of the hospitals in Indianapolis as well. He recentley won an award as on of the top doctors/teachers in the Indianapolis area. He could go into private practice and make a lot of money but his heart is always with teaching and helping those who can't afford medical care. Anytime my dad is not at work he's with his family. I always know he will either be at work or be at home. He loves his family very much and is a very smart and kind man. I admire my dad so much.

I honestly don't have a role model. I didnt really look up to anyone as a kid to be honest, if my parents don't count.

As-in basketball, its T-mac. Another guy is Joel 'King Handles' Heywood, if u don't know him look him up on youtube. I don't have any real role models...

This is probably cheesy but as a kid, definately Bruce Lee. It was easy to look up to him. Very much into that martial arts craze during the late 80's/early 90's. Now, don't really look up to anyone. Probably my parents, but that's more for guidance.

Definitely my parents. They've made so many sacrifices for me to have a good life, and I am always looking up to them and respecting their opinions. I hope I could be just like them later on in my life, have a wife and kids, and love your family.

I never had a specific person...or sometimes a real person. My role models were famous historical people I read about. Or even ficitonial characters. I try to model myself after people from the Bible and history...sortve weird...but ive always been into history or whatever...

Kobe Bryant is mine. The way he plays so hard after all the crap he's been through...you can't help but admire that.As far as outside of sports it'd have to be my granpa. He handles himself so well and works harder then anyone I've seen.

He was born into a poor abusive household and his mom died of cancer when he was young, he ran away from home at fourteen, never went to college, and then became a millionaire businessman. His work ethic is crazy. now that he's retired, local companies still beg him to be their CEO. Back when my family lived in Brooklyn (back before they cleaned it up so it was dangerous as hell) he gave us a ton of money to buy a house in the suburbs of California where we live now.Another one is my dad, who is easily the smartest individual I've ever met, even if I strongly disagree with his politics (He's a socialist). I've always been in awe of his ability to cheat the system - he's loopholed his way into getting 100 grand per year despite only working 1-2 days per week (teaches at a community college, being union vice president makes him only have to teach half as many classes, teaches a lot of his classes online so he can leave the house even less). He is probably the only person I know who can best me in almost every debate on every topic, even when he's arguing a point of view he doesn't believe, just to get me to say stuff that he can attack more-so.

But I also disagree. Look at Dikembe Mutombo, he's a role model to tons of kids in the Congo. As for a rapper, no way they should be a role model. If you have aspirations to be a singer, there will be obvious influences. I mean with Bruce Lee, I went into martial arts to emulate him when I was younger(not even close). In that regard, I looked up to him and he was a role model.

My dad and grandfather are my role models. Coming from Cuba when Castro took everything from them they had to start all over in a new land where they didnt know the language or anything about America. My grnadfather went on to own a successful pharmacy here and is now retired and my dad owns his own insurance agency now. I hope to be as succesful and as good people as them when I am older.
