Gallinari and Batum are both top 10 picks at the wings.
Gallinari is a SF with ball skills, while Batum is a scorer whose biggest knocks are that he coasts and plays without passion.

Victor Claver is a combo forward. Omri Casspi is a small forward, but has disappointed this year. Both of these guys are probably a couple years away from contributing.

Nikola Pekovic is a guy to keep your eye on. Plays for Partizan (Nenad, Mile), a 6-10 power forward who is a bull.

That's about the extent of guys who could be first round picks this year, IMO from the international pool.

Im pretty sure we will get the 7-12th pick , and i woudnt waste it on another Uconn product, it hasnt worked for us with uconn products just yet, so i wouldnt waste a good pick on them.

I know he as done well , but doesnt mean he has the talent, and from what ive seen so far, he is a decent rebounder and can someimes finish at the rim, but you cant really say he is the best at his position man. I didnt know that he was second to Aldridge only so ill give you that, but i dont think he is the solution for our problems now, or the future, and isnt that what the draft is about? Getting the best possible talent around? And that is what we are searching for.

He will disappear after this season you will see.

He doesnt have a post game, he gets out-muscled by most of the centers in this league and hes a horrible free throw shoota

I think all of our big men are already better than him, but thats juts my opinion... i guess we will see

And i dont think you understand me, i think he has done well this year, but i also know that there are other players that are wayy better than he is.

And i would have rather taken jordan farmar or sergio rodriguez over boone or williams any time of the day in that 06 draft.

Just because you would have taken Sergio over Boone doesn't make him a better pick, when he's done nothing in the league, and Boone has shown flashes.

I agree, he is a good scorer, but can he do it in the nba? he lacks D, and is undersized.

Thats what i mean, he has done well because we are a mediocre team, and he had a chance, but no way he is starting in a championship team, and farmar and rodriguez have way more talent than he does. they can actually develop to be good starting players. Thats what i meant.

My problem is that if we tink like a mediocre team, act like a mediocre team, then we fkin are a mediocre team!

He cannot start because ( like i said before) He missed easy layups. gets outhustled, and also outmuscled at the post! You eiyther have to be good at atleast one of those things to be a starter, and he isnt.

So you're 18...ok well the last 18 years only 6 teams have won an NBA championship...Those teams being the Pistons, The Bulls, The Rockets, The Spurs, The Lakers and the Heat

The Lakers won it three times with Shaq and Kobe
The Heat won it once with Shaq and Dwade
The Rockets won it with hakeem olajuwon
The Pistons won it in 89 with Dumars
The Spurs won it four times with Duncan

That Brings us to the Bulls and the Pistons...

The Pistons won in 2004 with Ben Wallace at starting Center...a player who Boone can model himself after...
As for the Bulls I forget who there center was the first 3 championships but Luc Longley was there for the last 3...

Boone in my opinon is much better already than Luc Longley.

You say we need a dominant big man to win...maybe...but dominant isn't good enough Duncan, Shaq and Olajuwon are 3 of the greatest players in the history of the game...Tell me where are we gonna find one of them?

Well i think age has nothing to do with it.
And isnt that what we all ask ourselves?
WHERE IS THAT BIG MAN FRANCHISE PLAYER?
thats what we need to win championships.
Thats my opinion, i respect yours and i hope you show me the same respect i have shown you.
 
Spurs would kill for Josh Boone. Since Robinson left, they have won with semi-talented centers.

Boone isn't a franchise changer but he could easily be a starter on a Championship team depending on who is around him.

He can rebound, and has already seen improvements on his frame, but of course he's not that proficient in creating his own shot. However, he doesn't have to because he's not asked to be a post-up scorer; other players' scoring abilities can cover for him. What we do need from him is second chance points, finishing off pick and rolls, and he's been able to answer the call.

Agreed...a lot of people forget that Ben Wallace floated around the league for a while before finally hitting it big in his fifth year when his defense kicked it up a notch and his rebounds went from 8 a game to 13...offensively his best season he averaged 9.7 pts...

Am I saying Boone will be the next Ben Wallace? No...but he could develop into a player in that league, and a player in that league is a championship caliber player.

Chill son...I was just using your age to determine what NBA teams have won since your birth...it's not an insult. Read carefully I was examining the last 18 championships...

Techniquely a Lebron James caliber player can make up for a dominant Big Man...Also for the record I view Boone as a Center not a PF. It's what his game is. Also to be honest we need to be really shitty for the next few years AND get lucky in order to find a Franchise Player...especially a Big Man.

Look in the league...how many are there?
Duncan, Howard, Yao, Bosh, Dirk, Kevin Garnett and Stoudimire are the only true franchise players in the league right now...

The next tier:
Pau Gasol, Jermaine O'neal, Elton Brand, Carlos Boozer, Marcus Camby, Ben Wallace, Chris Kaman, Elton Brand, Memet Okur, Tyson Chandler, David West, Kmart, Emeka Okafor and such

Reality is there are no sure things...
Boone in my opinon has Ben Wallace potential...maybe not Defensively as dominant, but better offensively. Krstic could feasibly be a 2nd tier big he just needs to heal up and get just a a tad bit better definsively.

Reality is that franchise players are hard to find...not every player in a draft is gonna be one...
In my opinon only two players in the draft are sure fire franchise players...Michael Beasely and Derrick Rose.

Besides him DeAndre Jordon, Brook Lopez, Jared Bayless, OJ Mayo and Eric Gordon have potential to be franchise players...most likely 1 of them will, while two of them will be solid, one will be solid and one will be a complete bust. Now I for the life of me don't know whose who but that's just the way it goes.
