In July, our presumptive starters at the wing were Henderson and Aminu. Henderson has not played at all in preseason, Aminu has played, what, two games? CJ has played major minutes. Harkless has surprised. Some have speculated that Crabbe could start at either spot. And some still think that the guys we've seen the least of are the best of the bunch.

So, what say you--who should start at 2/3 for the Blazers?

Henderson/Aminu assuming Henderson is fit to play.

Otherwise it may not matter if it's CJ starting at SG or Crabbe. There's merit to both approaches. CJ gets you offense with the 2nd unit.

CJ has won that SG spot outright with his play this preseason. I liked the rotation pattern yesterday. CJ comes out ~ 6 min mark in the first quarter, and then returns for Dame 5 mins later to assume PG duties. Intrigued by Harkless, but am guessing Aminu wins the SF position due to his experience. Crabbe + Hark will get 20 mpg each still I think. Henderson will cut into both of those guys' PT when he gets back.

Harkless and Aminu. It wasn't a choice, but should be.

I need to see Hendo first, but right now CJ is playing very well and until he gets abused defensively they might as well go with he and Dame in the back court. Listening to the NBA TV interview with Neil during the Blazer 30 minute preview, it still looks like this is their future. So they might as well give it a real chance to work.

I have not seen enough of Aminu either, but I am guessing he is the other starter. Dame, CJ, Aminu, Plumlee, and Meyers.
With Henderson, Crabbe, Harkless, Vonleh and Davis coming off the bench.

I can see the argument for either (or both) Hendo and/or Davis starting for CJ and Meyers

CJ is going to start; the team wants to see what he has. Ideally think I might have Harkless at SF and Aminu at PF. I've been really impressed with Mo. If we can only start one of Aminu/Harkless might go with Rouq although either is a fine choice and both could play similar minutes. "Politically" it's better to start the more veteran Rouq and bring young Mo off the bench until one plays significantly better with the starters.

Hendo has to prove he's effective as a backup before he gets any consideration to start. Crabbe will be fine as a regular bench player for now.

McCollum/Crabbe.

With Harkless and Aminu in the lineup I can't see both of them displaced.

Guess it's 10, not 8. There you go; Harkless/Aminu added.

It's a question of who is the most stable. Harkless and Crabbe have major ups and downs during the game. They shoot you into the game, then they shoot you out. I'll go with experience. I haven't seen Henderson, so I pick Aminu with either Henderson or McCollum. Make it Henderson.

Hendo hasn't played yet... and Aminu sat out a lot. Anyone know what the deal is with that?

I dont know enough about our new guys to even know what positions they are good at. I suck :(

But I've seen evidence of CJ kicking ass this year, so CJ and someone. :D

Hip and Ham String. Aminu is supposed to be ready soon, but with the ham string it can be recurring and problematic. Probably just precautionary.

Henderson and Aminu but only because who's starting should mean nothing for this team

Well, if we were to go with the vets, it would be Hendo and Aminu, but I don't think Stotts will do that. I think he'll stick with CJ until Hendo is healthy and then see where we are.

I chose Hendo/Aminu. Works great for my rotation on 2K16.

Agreed. I think Stotts wants to see CJ in both roles this year. At least he should.

CJ is a chucker. He's perfect for the bench scorer role. Let him come in and give him the green light.

I wonder who compliments Dame the most? That first quarter is hard to ignore. They passed well to each other, and it kept the clips from doubling Dame.

I'm sure other rotations will be looked at. Just looking at this game you could see how Dame and CJ could lead to a hot start. But it won't be that way every game. I think over time the team would be better served by having a better defender start the game. If CJ comes off the bench then you could easily rarely have more than one average/poor defender on the court at any given time. If CJ and Dame both start then some games they will be hot and some they won't.

Henderson and Aminu are broken, Crabbe is about as consistent as Batum, and Harkless is a pound puppy.

We better hope CJ is an all-star.

I'll go with experience. Start Mike Miller.
