Wow. Apparently, "pasted" became a word that alluded all the spell checks on Casey's computer.

I love you, Casey!!

Of course...

Man, it's just crazy how these 2-6 spots are shaking out. Assuming that the Spurs beat the Rockets again tomorrow and then the Clips beat the Grizz on Saturday, it is very reasonable for all four of those teams to finish 56-26 (with the major roadblock to that being Memphis' visit to Oakland on Monday).

Anybody know who holds the tie breakers if Mem and Hou finished tied, if Mem and Sas finished tied, if Hou and Sas finished tied OR if they all finish tied?

Nevermind just found this:

http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2015/3/11/8174759/nba-playoffs-2015-tiebreakers-western-conference

Tiebreaker Situations
If teams finish tied in the standings, this is how berths and seeds will be determined.

MEMPHIS over Houston: The teams split the season series. But the Rockets can no longer finish with a better division or conference record than the Grizzlies, and Memphis' record against West playoff teams (regardless of whether OKC or New Orleans make it) is guaranteed to be better.

MEMPHIS over San Antonio: The teams split the season series. San Antonio cannot finish with a better divisional record and the Grizzlies have clinched a better record against the West.

SOUTHWEST CHAMP over Los Angeles (division winner)

PORTLAND over Los Angeles, Houston, San Antonio and potentially Memphis: The Blazers get an automatic tiebreaker against the Clippers and the two Southwest teams who don't win the division. In addition, even if Houston or San Antonio win the Southwest, Portland has a head-to-head tiebreaker over them.

MEMPHIS over Portland*: This is only the case if Memphis wins the Southwest, in which case it has the head-to-head tiebreaker. If Memphis does not win the Southwest, Portland gets the tiebreaker.

LOS ANGELES over San Antonio: The teams split their season series, but the Spurs cannot finish with a better record against the West.

NEW ORLEANS over Oklahoma City (H2H)

Unsettled Tiebreakers
Houston-San Antonio: The Spurs can clinch the head-to-head tiebreaker with a win on April 10. If the Rockets win, they can clinch the tiebreaker with a win against New Orleans on April 12 or one more Spurs loss against a Western team.

Memphis-Los Angeles: The Grizzlies can clinch this tiebreaker with a win over the Clippers on April 11. If L.A. wins that game, the season series will be split and it'll depend on how the teams finish up against their remaining West schedules.

Houston-Los Angeles: The teams split their season series. L.A. can clinch the tiebreaker by virtue of a better conference record with one more win against a West team. They play Memphis, Denver and Phoenix.

Head-to-head data
This is the head-to-head data used in the above tiebreaker breakdown.

The following table shows each playoff contender's record against other playoff contenders. Records in BOLD indicate that one of the teams has clinched the head-to-head tiebreaker for the season. Records in ITALICS indicate a season series tie, in which case the next tiebreak comes into play. An asterisk indicates the teams will play only three times this season. Otherwise, the teams play each other four times.

We need the Spurs to lose one so they don't jump the Clippers if the Clippers lose to Memphis. Losing to Brooklyn ended any rational hope for the 2 seed. Just root for the Clippers to lose to Memphis, the Spurs to lose a game, and for us to win out so we have HCA over the Clips in round 1

I'd be surprised if Pop didn't sit his starters for at least half of their remaining regular season games

Ok, this discussion has more to do with us and HCA and if the teams involved were to win out which only 2 teams other than the Blazers can do since SAS plays @ HOU and MEM plays @ LAC.

First of all this is assuming we win out which will be a challenge.

So if I am looking at this right, if the Rockets and Grizzlies win out then they would finish 57-25 with Memphis getting the tie breaker and the 2nd seed and the Rockets the 3rd seed.

If the Clipps and the Spurs win the rest of their games, except for the loses to the Rockets and Grizzlies, then they and the Blazers would all finish 55-27. Clipps get the tie breaker over the Spurs and we have the tie breaker over both of them we so would have HCA over the Clipps in the first round in this scenario.

If the Clipps or Spurs win out we cant get HCA even if we win out.

So if you want HCA then you need to root for the Rockets and Grizzlies to win out.

There are other scenarios where we could have HCA if multiple teams lose multiple games but that is a mess. This would be the most straight forward way.

Rockets 10-Apr vs SAS
12-Apr vs NOP
13-Apr at CHA
15-Apr vs UTA

Grizz 10-Apr at UTA
11-Apr at LAC
13-Apr at GSW
15-Apr vs IND

Clipps 11-Apr vs MEM
13-Apr vs DEN
14-Apr at PHX

Spurs 10-Apr at HOU
12-Apr vs PHX
15-Apr at NOP

Yep that what my post showed as well. Im glad I looked at that right

Looking at the remaining schedule it looks to me that most "likely" is that we play the Clipps without HCA.

UGH. Prepare for Doc refbitch 2015. We'll get calls, but only when they don't matter.
This is the one and only reason I don't want the Clippers. Without the refs caving in to the constant bitching and flopping, I think we'd take them.

Eh. Fair point. However, spell check CAN'T find context in words. I did -use- the wrong word, but I spelled it right.

There is a slight difference.

Emphasis on "slight," lol.

Neener.

Well that's just it isn't it? If we only had to beat them at basketball I'd be confident.

By the way it is now moronic to play the starters more than about 25 minutes a game for the rest of the regular season now and risk injury. Load up on minutes for CJ, Leonard and Crabbe

I was so torn tonight on who I was rooting for!!!

I think I'm wishing for the Rockets....... No Beverly and D-Mo.

Rooting for a Clippers WIN or LOSS tonight?

Go Clippers!!!!!! I love CP3 !!!!!!! #FlopLife

I saw that above graph and it hurts my head just trying to read it!
