Hey, lets tell each other who we think would be a good new additio nto the current Nets Team. i say "AI, Shaq, and Ben Wallace" Kidd And shaq would probabely be a good team. And VC and kidd playing with AI, Wow. pretty cool. right? what do you think?

Yes, that's very affordable...

EDIT: Forgot to post who I wanted...

I want the one guy who plays in the NBA, he's very good.

I would like Stromile Swift and maybe Spreewell (if he play for little money) on the team next year. It would be great if the Nets can gain back Eric Williams. Darius Songaila could fit in as a sub (if he does not utilize his player option.

Spree in a Nets Jersey, man that would destroy Knick fans heart. But it would never happen, while Spree has no choice but to take less money after the horrid season he has displayed. I dont think he would be willing to take less money & come off the bench, with an extremely limited role, which is what he would have in Jersey. Think about it Vince and RJ both play about 40 minutes a game, so where would their be room for another big minute player coming off the bench. Spree ego would never let him accept a role of playing only about 15-20 minets per game, even tho that should be the role he has this late in his Basketball life.

Anyway, I have made it know secret I want Stro in a Nets uniform this offseason, it made be far fetched to a certain degree, seeing as he would have to take less than his potential is worth. But I am just living on the fact that Rod Thorn can work some magic into convincing him that playing along side Kidd/Carter/Jeff is the best thing for the growth of his game.

I would love to see Big Ben Wallace, Glenn Robinson (only if he took a pay cut), heres one KMart back in a nets jersey (would be the most electrifying team in the nba Kmart stepped his game up this season i saw him hitting j this season), Nene, or maybe even Lamar odom since it looks like hes not really happy in LA, let me rephrase that he looks happy when kobe is out of the line-up (not the police line up ahahaahaha!!!!!) and looks very unhappy when kobe comes back.

Those are my choices

FA: Zydrunas Ilgauskas/ Tyson Chandler/ Stromile Swift
Trade: Jeff Foster/ Nene/ Al Jefferson/ Chris Wilcox
Draft: Sean May/ Shelden Williams/ Ronny Turiaf/ Salim Stoudamire/ Nate Robinson/ Daniel Ewing/ Chevon Troutman/ Carl Krauser

At least one of these FA/ Trade's. And we need a big man/ shooter/ PG in the draft.

I want this line up next year.

PG: Kidd/ Planinic/ Vaughn
SG: Carter/ Salim Stoudamire
SF: Jefferson/ Buford/ Chevon Troutman
PF: Swift or Chandler/ Ronny Turiaf
C: Krstic/ Collins

(Fingers Crossed)

i thought may wasnt entering the draft anyways it would b cool if he were able to get that line up next year but i think the bull will want to keep chandler look at the year he is having

I really like this unit my self, but it might be a bit of wishful thinking...only problem is I would like to see Travis Best return for another season, I think after being left out to sea in Dallas, Travis has done an excellent job for us this year. And has made some big plays down the stretch of ball games. As good a Jacque Vaughn has been I probably would rather keep Travis over him...cause Vaughn seem better this year playing alongside Kidd rather than backing Kidd up. And next year there really wont be that much time where we have Kidd and Vuaghn in the game at the same time with everyone healthy. So I would rather keep Best as a backup then Vaughn, also I wouldnt be against trading Planinic for a pick like in the 2nd round...because we will probably have to draft a young point guard in the near future anyway cause I doubt that Zoran will ever get to the level that we could feel comfortable with handing the team over to him as Jason's replacement.

Is this thread really realistic? I want Shaq, Duncan and Garnett on the Nets then. Starting five of Shaq, Duncan, Garnett, Carter and Kidd, NBA champions for sure!

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trip:</div><div class="quote_post">Is this thread really realistic? </div>

Yes, there is definately some unrealistic names being thrown around in this thread like Mcgrady, Wallace etc...I will give it a chance to get back on a realistic tune. But if it doesnt this thread will have to be locked for not meeting justbball's guidline of promoting intelligent conversation.

How about Shareef, Krstic and him would be sick downlow.

I think a good player for this team is Swift. As was stated above, an athletic big man playing along with a nice supporting cast is good. I see him being a great role player for this team.

i agree stro swift will fit great because he can run down the floor, very athletic. Similar athletic abilty like kmart (maybe a substitute to kmart when he left) and does definately fit in the rotation, and will be exciting season next yr if they get stro.

i think any 2 of chandler/swift/nene will be enuf..also adding seattle's evans for some kind of depth n the frontline...to add more depth in the backcourt, earl watson/chris duhon and mike miller..wit jason at the helm=CHAMPIONSHIP. Evry team wil get OWNED/PWN'd!!

we're having a summer league and i was thinking that i cud model d team after the Suns...a dominant big man, great point and SG,SF,PF all can shoot threes...

anyway, i think we can have a Suns-type lineup..we already have several pieces...the PF that can shoot the perimeter is very rare such as Donyell..cliff is OLD, if that is an understatement..

anyway, i wud just love a lineup dat can run and hopefully can give jason an mvp season like nash and finally, the RING!!

Yeah Stro would fit in great. Kristic also looks like he is going to be something great in the future.

I'd like to have someone like Reggie Evans. Man that guy goes after every loose ball with all his might. He's like one of the league leaders in rebounds/48 mins.

Stro would be a great addition. He's like a Kmart with no D. He'll definely flourish with Kidd running the show. Just imagine a break with Kidd pushing the ball. He'll have Stro, Vince and RJ as recipients. Plus a very much developed Nenad lagging behind. Now that's an EC champs if I ever see one.

Get Stromile Swift and some dept. Look at the potential lineup.

PG- Jason Kidd
SG-Vince Carter
SF- Richard Jefferson
PF-Stromile Swift
C-Kristic/Collins/1st round draft player
<u>BENCH</u>
Reggie Evans
Cliff Robinson
Collins
Vaughn
Buford
Scalraberni

Stromile is a great defender, great shot blocker-- Also can run the floor wit VC,RJ,Kidd-- plus he can get the team excited wit his great dunks. got pretty good stats too.

as was suggested by og15 on another thread, Chris Wilcox can also be a candidate..the guy's is just 22 and has tremendous potential..a trade for him can be possible (the "Kittles trade" was...=>)...or maybe we can trade for a lower 1st round pick + 2nd round pick due to the fact that the next draft is very intriguing and quite deep...

Actually we wanted Wilcox when we did the deal for Kittles, but the Clippers didnt want to give him up, they actually were ofering Bobby Simmons, I think. And the Nets turned it down and took the draft pick. Looking back on it with Richard Jefferson going down Bobby Simmons would have been nice..anyway back to Wilcox, I am not for sure if he will be at the top of Rob Thorn's list this offseason, cause I think Thorn is going to try to convince one of the bigger named free Agents to take less money to come here. But Iam pretty sure that if he notices early that guys arent bitting at the idea of playing along side Kidd/Carter/Jeff for less money than a guy like Wilcox would be a nice alternative.
