If I was sure Currys ankle wasn't going to be a problem in the future I'd take Curry. Even knowing Currys ankle is always going to be a ? I'd still...... nah fuck it ill go full homer and take Lillard.

Was discussing this with a friend and I couldn't come up with many point guards I would trade Lillard for. Most of it boiled down to age or injury history. Lillard vs. anyone else can be argued.
Curry - ankle
Irving - injuries
Westbrook - possibly knees
Parker - age
Paul - age
Rondo - injuries
Rose - knees
It may be the homer in me. It may be the fact that he hasn't missed a game. It may just be that he's the best for the team long term.
Well last season we would have put Daren Williams in that conversation and he should be. I blame Kidd and I still think DWill is a fantastic point guard with a bad coach.
The injuries have robbed him of his first-step. He's a shell.

Golden State will regret dumping their bench. Losing Jack was huge. They had a solid bench last year.
Watching that team with Iggy on it an when he was injured is like Night and Day. They really only have two players who can dribble and create for others in the starting unit an thats Curry/Iggy. If one of them is hurt you can attack the lone ball Handler all day. Losing Jack seems to have hurt a bit because they could use a guy off the bench who can control the offense an create for others but I don't the Warriors could afford Jack at what he wanted to be paid.
They should've passed on Iggy and re-signed Jack and Landry. They were a near WCF team with those guys last season and Barnes blossoming in the starting SF spot. They had a horrible offseason and are now a lotto team. Sad.
I think they are comparable. Curry I think is the more elusive guard. Damian is the stronger guard. They both have incredible outside shots and they both do a nice job of carrying their relative teams. They both need work on their D. If I had to give an edge right now. Curry due to his experience and where has been.
I'm not sure what podcast I was listening to today, been a long day, but Lillard was brought up and the two hosts mentioned the fact they thought Lillard may be the physically strongest PG in the league. Watching Lillard he sure looks like he could be the strongest.
Lillard is way way better and it's not even close. Lillard may win MVP (or MVP of the Finals even) one day. Curry never will.
Taking injuries out of the equation, I'd rather have Curry....barely. That being said, you can't do that, so Sub Zero
really? for me, it's a no brainer (if injuries aren't an issue) to take Curry. I do agree with the latter part of your comment, however, it's close.
That is literally exactly what I said LOL

I'm not sure you understand the meaning of that word. Because it's not literally what you said.
If healthy (or health wasn't an issue) I said I'd take Curry as a no brainer. You said you'd take him, barely, over Lillard. I'd take Curry injury free and not even think twice. To me, what you said isn't the same.
Dame. And I wouldn't think twice about it. Curry is a straight shooter, but I'm not convinced he makes his entire team better. Dame is just a playmaker, in my opinion.
