Suppose Davis, Robinson, MKG, Barnes, and some random player are gone, who would you pick?

Yeah, I agree about Beal, Drummond worries the heck out of me, his lack of production, POR bad luck with big men, he is raw as heck...ugh....

Knowing POR luck (bad), he will be the one that slips to #6....

It's actually a difficult decision for me, hence the poll. Decent bigs make incredible $, and Drummond has the tools. It's obvious he needs more coaching, but he potential is there. It's also much easier to get smaller players than big.

There's no denying Drummond's raw tools but guys who run hot and cold usually stay that way. Beal to me appears to have a better combination of upside (which is pretty high) and displayed enough production (after a slow start) to convince me he's going to be a really good starting 2 and possibly much more.

I'm sold on Lillard. I want us to get him at all costs unless TRob drops.

I chose Lillard. I want to stay the crap away from Drummond, and I'm just not that high on Beal. With that said, I think we could get Lillard a couple of picks later, and I acknowledge that he's a slight reach at 6 potentially. But he's also got the potential to be a steal.

#6-60 is notoriously not a great position to grab an all star

Actually, this is an interesting point, one we should pay attention to: #6 seems to be where teams reach for a "steal" and often times get burned for it.

Good site! Looking at that list, there's only been one really good player taken at #6 in the last decade. If only his knees could've held out...

The rest were pretty much God-awful. I'd say Udoh looks like being the second best. At least since Battier.

It's funny that the #7 pick looks significantly better over that time:
Greg Monroe, Steph Curry, Eric Gordon, Luol Deng, Hinrich, Nene...

Looking at the 11th pick:

Code:
Year Player Drafted From Drafted By
2011 Klay Thompson Washington St. Golden State
2010 Cole Aldrich Kansas New Orleans
2009 Terrence Williams Louisville New Jersey
2008	Jerryd Bayless	Arizona	Indiana
2007	Acie Law	Texas A&M	Atlanta
2006 JJ Redick Duke Orlando
2005	Fran Vazquez	Spain 1983	Orlando
2004	Andris Biedrins	Latvia 1986	Golden State
2003	Mickaël Pietrus	France 1982	Golden State
2002	Jared Jeffries	IndianaSo.	Washington
2001	Kedrick Brown	Okaloosa-Walton CC So.	Boston
2000	Jerome Moiso	UCLA So.	Boston
1999	Trajan Langdon	Duke Sr.	Cleveland
1998	Bonzi Wells Ball State Detroit

Yikes. Trade up or out! (Apart from Klay Thompson and JJ Redick - so, I guess, draft a shooter.)
(Funny that Bayless and Bonzi were taken at the same pick.)

I can't stop! The 9th pick is pretty dang awesome:
Code:
Year Player Drafted From Drafted By
2011 Kemba Walker UConn Charlotte
2010 Gordon Hayward Butler Utah
2009 Demar DeRozan USC Toronto
2008	D.J. Augustin	Texas	Charlotte
2007	Joakim Noah	Florida	Chicago
2006 Patrick O'Bryant Bradley Golden State (oops)
2005	Ike Diogu	Arizona St. Jr.	Golden State (oops - obviously GState should trade the 9th pick)
2004	Andre Iguodala	Ariz. So.	Philadelphia
2003	Mike Sweetney	Georgetown Jr.	New York (oops)
2002	Amare Stoudemire	Cypress Creek HSSr.	Phoenix
2001	Rodney White	CharlotteFr.	Detroit (better than Darko at #2, though)
2000	Joel Przybilla	MinnesotaSo.	Houston
1999	Shawn Marion	UNLV Jr.	Phoenix
1998	Dirk Nowitzki Germany Milwaukee
1997	Tracy McGrady	Mount Zion Academy (HS)	Toronto

Shame we can't draft highschoolers like McGrady and Stoudemire any more. And some sucker wasted the 9th pick on a Euro in 1998...

perfect then we can guarantee to draft waiters twice!
