Bayless. But you already knew that. :)

KP is going to trade a bottom dweller Rudy for an unprotected 1st and pick up John Wall next year.

Trade Bayless for a big (McGee, Splitter, R.Lopez, ect)

Sign Koponen

Miller/Blake/Koponen

I think Petteri would be more open to being the 3rd PG than Bayless would.

I question his handle. If he ever learns to dribble in traffic and improve his long ball he could be decent. Petteri also needs to work on his lateral quickness and fill out his frame.

If he does those things its possible he could be the answer. I wouldn't count on him ever playing in the NBA though, unless we trade his rights.

Bayless. Until we get someone better.

Ed O.

Andre Miller for at least the next two/three years.

I really look forward to see him in the NBA.

He's somebody currently in high school or college, I'd guess.

Right. So we are going to trade Rudy to the team who we know will get the #1 pick and get the #1 prospect next year. That's gonna happen.
We might have to move up in the draft but certain teams by the TD will be obvious goats that will be high lottery picks. It would require the stars aligning but it's possible. North korea could nuke Japan tomorrow too. It's not likely obviously but It's a nice fantasy, another would be getting Conley or possibly Flynn. To be honest I'm concerned about our future at PG and don't see an obvious answer (I thought it was Conley at the TD and Sessions more recently FWIW).

P.S. I love you quote. Isn't that XKCD or whatever?

CP3, obviously.

Hope springs eternal, eh?

Well, he doesn't need to be high-level passer. Just being a great slasher who can find an open man when the defense collapses is good enough to play alongside Roy. Assuming his shot returns and he plays defense. All things that are attainable.

He'll never be Nash or Kidd, but he could be Parker or Harris.

It's still Sergio Rodriguez.

It will be interesting to note who's GM and coach when we eventually pay huge to get him back.

Trading Sergio is the biggest blunder in Blazers' history.

It is Sergio's destiny to be MVP...of the Turkish Basketball League.

As for the actual point of the post, I voted for the series of veteran point guard stop gaps. I don't know if Bayless is capable of playing the point any time soon. Our current point guard is a veteran stop gap. If Bayless doesn't work out, our next point guard will be more of the same.

It will probably be a series of stopgaps. Point guard is not that important of a position on this Blazers team.

You know I'm sorry, but I've never, ever been high on Petteri Koponen and I really don't understand why some people are.

Anyway, this is a tough question to answer. If I were to guess, I'd guess that Miller and Blake are here to stay for the next 2-3 seasons, and after that we may trade for someone new. But it'll be interesting to see how Bayless responds to all this.
