Why did the Blazers draft Meyers Leonard 11th????

why is he a "stiff"? and what is YOUR definition of a "stiff'? From all accounts he is VERY athletic, has good hands and agility a nice 13-16ft shot and is a solid free thrower. He just turned 20 and C's are projects and take time, what has bust "written all over it" IMO is your attitude towards him and your post.

Well this is of course "your opinion" and we will as usual take that for what its worth, is/was he a gamble? well yeah - isn't the draft a gamble in the first place? At the 11th pick in the recent draft IMO is was a good risk/reward pick, "IMO" of course.

well, if you spent 3 minutes listening to Qyntel Woods talk you knew he was dumber than Zach Randolph. You can be as athletic as you want, but if you're dumb, you're not going to be a player worth shit.

And if you listen to Meyers Leonard talk you know he's not stupid. Same with Damian too.

7'1.25" and athletic? Also, he's already a jacked 250 lbs.

He has a feel for the game and a high IQ, he's not ready for big minutes but he was in a bad situation at Illinois. He played under a horrible coaching staff and both years were turmoil-plagued.
