It’s unclear when the encounter occurred, or what happened before or after the video recording.

Mr. Guzman did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Monday night. The Guardian reported that he works in information technology and does construction on the side.

Mr. Guzman, 27, was with his mother clearing a yard in Running Springs, about 80 miles east of Los Angeles, when the woman approached, The Guardian said.

The woman told his mother to “go back to Mexico,” Mr. Guzman told The Guardian. “She said we were all illegals,” he said. “I told her, ‘I’m a United States citizen.’”

Tensions concerning race and immigration have been playing out across the country, as President Trump has taken a hard line against illegal immigration.

Absolutely true. However, it's gotten worse than it was recently under Trump. Why? Because he's a magnet for racists. They love him in Alabama. Guess how they feel about African-Americans in Alabama. My uncle in Birmingham kept a loaded pistol under his pillow. Why? Because he knew Blacks were going to rise up and murder all the white men and rape all the white women any day now. Take it from me, I've first had experience in the deep South where I was born, African-Americans are derided and called the 'N' word constantly. This is why they love Trump.

There were several factors but the Electoral College leads the way. Then you've got Comey's announcement about the Wiener files. Add to that the Russian interference. Then, you can add Wikileaks. Then there are her errors.

It was a perfect storm.

Obviously racism is more real in the south to this day than anywhere else. Has he maybe normalized it for some idiots out there? yeah probably. I still can't say he is racist towards mexicans or black people. He has made a majority of interesting comments regarding mexicans but I think he is talking about the gangs, the cartel, etc. Who knows though, I don't know him, it's entirely possible he could be racist towards a certain group

I truly, honestly, feel, that if I was a Trump supporter, this right here would be enough to help me realize how bad he is for America. Literally every single alt-right, KKK, racist, gay bashing American votes for Trump. If you feel that you are who you surround yourself with, would this not strike you as a bad thing? Is every Trumpet a KKK member? Hell no. Are they all racist? Hell no. But all those who ARE - are in your group. If that happens, you either 1) leave the group 2) form a new group without them 3) make them leave or 4) change them. #4 aint happening. You cant change idiots full of hate. So what do you do?

In my adult life, I have not voted for either Clinton. I have not voted for a single Dem President. But when I started to figure out (I wasn't 18-25 and young) who was affiliated with my "party" it made me sick. Trump put it into a whole other level. How can anyone sit back and say 'yeah, that's my guy. Racists, KKK, Child Immigration, grab em by the pussy, I'm with them". I don't get it.
