No need to monitor anything. They are protected unless they are teaching anything inaccurate. So if anybody wants to file a lawsuit or fire them they would have the law on their side.

It monitors itself.

School (including trade schools) should just be free for anybody who maintains their grades (and free for EVERYONE under 18). As long as factual information is being taught.

I think vocational (or whatever they're called) high school diplomas were the best thing invented.

Yeah, they're really cool. Oregon City has a great one. CAIS.

They turned the old high school into it once they built the new high school 15 or 20 years ago. Awesome idea. And free.

1M expired COVID tests to be used in Florida after FDA grants new extension, DeSantis says

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said 1 million Abbott COVID-19 rapid tests that expired in a warehouse in December are now “going out” to testing sites after their usage date was extended to March 2022 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, News4JAX sister station WKMG reported.

At a news conference Wednesday in Bonita Springs, DeSantis said the tests are now available and will be sourced “just like they would have been” if they were authorized earlier.
 
In his State of the State speech today, DeathSantis repeatedly talked about Florida's "freedom". By this he meant no COVID prevention. He has proposed laws allowing lawsuits against teachers who teach about civil rights, a ban on abortion after 15 weeks with no exceptions, making it harder to vote, and cracking down on protesters.
Freedom for straight white cis male Christian conservatives.
The great white hope. A smarter Trump who will outlaw abortion, prevent teaching anything that makes white people uncomfortable, and may I assume overturn marriage equality. And above all, keep the wrong people from voting.

DeathSantis and previous guy had public falling out over vaccines. Previous guy said Covid vaccine safe and effective. Only true statement he's made in six years. So naturally that is what DeathSantis objects to.

I actually don't care enough about him to follow enough to know either way.

But getting uneducated people to support illogical and cruel policies in large numbers is exactly what Hitler did.

So getting thousands to buy what he's selling doesn't hurt the Hitler argument.

He's selling civil liberties.
 
People are going to Florida so they can be unvaccinated and party without masks. Freedom! Not for women, people of color, LGBTQ people, unions, protesters. Or health workers who would like to be free to do their job without risking their health or being cursed and threatened by patients and families who got MD from Facebook.
