Florida parents sued their child's school for flying a rainbow flag, claiming it violates don't say gay law. Sadly, that's probably true.

Generally, schools only fly the US flag and possibly their state flag.

No problem. Passed through Pensacola 5+ years ago just so I could say I'd been to Florida. The only thing that would explain that was that I probably smoked too much weed passing through Bubbabama and thought it was actually important......one of my more stupid assumptions.......

DeSantis won by the tiniest of margins and set out to make sure it didn't happen again. Voters passed a measure to expand access to franchise, Republicans overturned it. He set up election police accountable to him personally and with great fanfare arrested 20 mostly Black voters. Charges probably won't stick, but how many people will be frightened away from trying to vote?

He also set out to punish those who did not support him. Black voters and LGBTQ vote overwhelming Democrat so schools can't teach about racism, or say gay and parents can't bring their children to family friendly drag show. Prohibit state officials from discussing global warming. And guns in school!

Make elections a farce and proclaim victory.
 
Anyone else have to deal with the stupid redit videos allllll playing at the same time, and then having to up and find each one and stop it?

There has to be a way to stop that, outside of muting the tab itself.

Yes. Incredibly annoying. I just exit right out of the thread when that happens.
 
Arresting 20mostly Black citizens for voting had its intended effect. Although those charges are likely to fail, Florida election officials, especially in counties with large Black population, are reporting people are too afraid to vote.

The old Southern tradition of an electron in which only white people vote.
