I just want to throw this out there. We all know how the bench struggles to score. We all know that the team has injury exceptions to sign talent. The team obviously doesn't feel Babbit is ready for playing time. Why not sign Stackhouse for the remainder of the season and give that unit some offensive punch so that the starters can actually get some rest instead of playing too many minutes. If this team wants to make the playoffs, and they don't want to burn the starters out by playing them too many minutes, it is an obvious move. It isn't a long term move to solve any issues, but it might prevent some players from burning their bodies out in an otherwise meangless season, and might provide the bench with enough punch that they can win some more games.

Anyone who can give LMA 8-12 solid minutes of rest a night would be aces in my book. He's burning bright but I'm desperately afraid of him burning out. Hell, bring Camby back as the backup PF.

Besides, he is better than Bonzi Wells! :ohno:

Biggest issue/concern is number of roster spaces. Portland is already at the 15-player maximum.

waste of space include...

sean marks

luke babbit

armon johnson

greg odens cane

Step one: tell Cho that his "computer monitor" is just an etch-a-sketch, and that his "wireless mouse" is just a hot-wheels car.

Step two: convince the Vulcans that sitting on their thumbs until after the lock-out is not the only possible route for the team to take.

In other words - forget even semi-meaningful changes.

I'm for it. With 15 man rosters it's a good idea to have a couple gray beards for spot duty. People who really understand the game.

Stackhouse is terrible. He's been terrible since like 2007 or so.

I don't think we want a someone coming off the bench who is an inefficient scorer. Better off to go with what we've got.

Ed O.

Do you honestly think Stackhouse can't play better then mister 27% shooting on the road Rudy?

Because that is the main "scorer" off the bench right now.

Are you kidding me? Have you seen Rudy's shooting percentage lately? How about our backup SF shooting percentage? Oh that's right. We dont have a backup SF who gets any playing time.

By the way, Stackhouse was an excellent bench player for the Bucks last year.

I think Rudy is a better option than Stackhouse.

Stackhouse's last three seasonal PERs

2008 3.4
2009 11.1
2010 6.1

He shot 25% this year for Miami, 27% in 2008, and 41% in 2009.

He's washed up. I'd rather have Patty Mills taking those shots, and yes, even Rudy.

The whole 7 games he played for Miami? He didn't even get a chance to get settled in. He averaged 8 points for the Bucks last year in 20 minutes. He knows how to get to the line. Anyhow it's obvious we don't agree. So be happy and watch Rudy and Patty stink it up, and enjoy yourself.

I will. I just don't get the Stackhouse thing. For what reason?

Stackhouse would be a great fit for 10 minutes off the bench. Solid defender and great veteran presence. I'd surely rather have him than Marks or Johnson.

14 without Chris Johnson, I believe.

Blazers got special permission to sign Johnson for 10-days while Camby was out. With Johnson they were at 16.

PG: Miller, Mills, A. Johnson (3)
SG: Mathews, Rudy (2)
SF: Batum, Babbit (2)
PF: LA, Cunningham (2)
C: Pryzbilla, Marks (2)

IR: Oden, Willams, Roy, Camby (4)

Add it all up, and there are 15-players on the roster.
