The f'ing dipshits became Laker fans.

Sure, I can understand them not becoming Blazer fans but to jump on the Lakers jockstrap.... disgusting.

And what's up with people in southern Oregon?

And what's up with people in southern Oregon?

Criminal Californians move up here so they can do as much meth as they want and be caught and released to do it again. It makes sense that they would be Laker fans. It seems like there's more Warriors fans these days than Laker fans though, so i'm not sure how accurate that is.

Not to mention the fact that about five people in some of those counties probably have internet and use Twitter, lol.

And don't the people of Washington realize the Blazers are their local team now like the Seahawks are ours?!?

This is part of the reason why I have a hard time rooting for Washington sports teams. They feel like there better so they won't root for Oregon teams, but Oregonians love rooting for their teams because there regional.

I don't care who Washington roots for. It doesn't matter where you are, if you're not a Blazer fan, you're wrong!

Seattle has always been kind of a bandwagon, yuppie suburban fanbase. Even when they had the sonics, there were a lot of Laker fans up there for whatever reason.

I've never seen such a faker group of fans than this 12th man bullshit with the Seahawks. Well, maybe with OKC, but they're giving them a run for their money.

Really interested in how they actually got some of the numbers. Graphic is a lil too simplistic

And this.

That's just it! Speak for yourself on the whole Seahawks thing. Every single person I grew up with......we all HATED the Seahawks, still do!

But every time they're brought up on a Blazer broadcast it's basically like they're the Portland Seahawks!

It's because Southern Californians FLOODED Seattle. That's why it got too congested too fast. Way too many Californians in Southern Oregon, too.

The Blazers are starting to have a bigger presence down here. I used to never see anyone wearing Blazers gear around town. Also, the sports stores would rarely have anything Portland sports related. We are generally just considered part of northern California. Lots of Niners, Raiders, Lakers, and even a bit of Warriors gear.

I don't mean for this to come across as racist either, but we have a large Mexican population down here, and as you know they pretty much like the Lakers for some reason, even my cousin that was born here.

They hate the NBA up there now. I'm sure the % for those teams just comes from the transplants that still follow the NBA. Everybody I know that was a sonics fan up there absolutely hates the NBA. I know if Portland didn't have a team I would never watch this league.

if portland lost the blazers i'd probably give up sports all together and go be a monk or something. thats kind of sad now that i think about it.

That would mean a vow of chastity though, right? I think I'd go hermit. At least then you could bring in a ho(s).

And seriously Hawks fans, you need to step up. You have one of the best teams in the entire league. They play an exciting, fun to watch, style of basketball, but you're surrounded by a sea of Lakers and Spurs fans. Even loser teams like the Charlotte Hornets and Minnesota Timberwolves have more followers than the Hawks.

Dude it doesn't even stop there BNM... Alaska, Canada, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Kentucky, VA (Don't they like the Wizards?!?), NC (They can't even support their own team?), South Carolina, Georgia, all are dominant Laker followers! WTF?!?!?

I know, the Lakers have 4.1 million followers. The Heat are second at 2.8 million (obviously holdovers that discovered twitter at the same time LeBron went ring chasing). But New Mexico stood out. They are surrounded by other states that have teams, but they are SOLID purple. Those other states have a lot of Laker followers, but they aren't solid purple.

BTW, does anyone think the network executives are already having nightmares over a potential POR (384K followers)/ATL (274K followers) finals?
