Will LaMichael James Go Pro After This Season?

Why or why not?

Ed O.

I don't think so.

He's got two years of eligibility left and he's pretty small... I don't think that the NFL will be beating his door down to get him to come out so early.

I went with no. If he had his speed with about 20 lbs more of muscle maybe. I honestly (and its not just my heart talking) think he will be around as a senior. I cant see a ton of NFL teams taking a pick on a 180 Speed Back. He reminds me alot of Darren Sproles (but taller) who has his name towards the top of a few NCAA Career Leader stats.
But he was around for all 4 years as well.

I voted no--heisman winners have tended as of late to return for another year; he won't want to break the trend. :)

Also to add... it took Sproles all those highlights and stats to be drafted in the 4th round. I dont think LaMichael will leave early for that.

2012 London Olympics 4x100 relay team.

Book it!

No. Sophmores usually don't declare for the NFL draft. It's rare. Plus he won't grade out as a 1st rounder with his size.

No. He'll be back next year. I don't think he'd get enough interest and right now, he's having the time of his life in Oregon with his two best friends - Barner and Thomas.

I think if he wins the Heisman, which is a big IF, I think he'll go.

I know one thing, the Ducks backfield will be crowded next season. James, Barner, AND Seastrunk.

don't forget Dontae Williams in there. The dude is a beast.

I don't know how they'll keep them all happy. That's why I suspect James will go, but only if he wins the Heisman, or maybe if we get the National Championship. I think he would be stupid not to.

One thing I noticed is with how much the Ducks run the ball, and how many other positions they play (Slot, PR, KR, etc) that guys will get dinged up alot. NExt year Alston will be gone which means when/if James or Barner get dinged up or hurt for a while that the other guys will jump in. This backfield is starting to get loaded like USC were for a while. I cant say how happy they were though as I dont follow SC that closely in that extent.
