probably took them at least a week to convince Nurk why he couldn't play in his first ever playoff game...but I'm just guessing here

Last game we found out the day before the game that he wasn't playing. That he is not already out interests me
 
Would you trade Leonard or E.T. for Enis Kanter from OKC?
looks like they are frustrated with down in OKC. I know we tried to get him once and he makes a boatload of cash too.
Kanter can consistently give us 10/10 every night. And anchor our bench.
 
what? A big man that NO offered way more than market value to isn't living up to his deal and his team is frustrated with him?

Nah to Kanter, but that's interesting. If Steven Adams wasn't a stud, Kanter would be starting.
 
As much as I'd like to see Nurkic dish some pain to the Warriors -
It's just not worth it.

Let the big man recover and come in to next season at 100%

Without blinking, are you kidding? I don't think OKC would make that deal. Leonard has 3 more years on his contract and is complete suckage. And the salaries don't match up anyway.
 
Listing is still "doubtful". Which is actually worse than "Questionable". So the probability has gone down.

How Nurkic been Questionable/OUT and now Doubtful? Our FrontOffice is doing mistery right here... If He plays the moda Center Will be on fire.
 
My guess would be that the Blazers don't want Nurkic to play, but he does want to play and they don't want to completely extinguish his hopes. So rather than "out," they make it "doubtful." And maybe they haven't completely closed off all possibility of him playing, but I'd guess that they'd really rather he didn't.
 
Every article i can find on this injury says 4-6 weeks. That is next week at best.
 
I actually think they would. Remember, other teams always believe they can "fix" the guy they get. OKC can get a big man who can shoot the 3, when Westbrook is double teamed. Doesn't that sound appealing?
I think Kanter can have a good effect on our team. He is a skilled big man, who can score in the post. He is not a great rebounder, but he can occupy space. He could get minutes at Center and PF. Yes, he would be overpaid ... but, who isn't? We can throw in scrubs and draft picks to make it work salary wise.

Salaries don't work 28 mil vs 18.
 
Blake Griffith done for the playoffs (again). This guy can't stay healthy. Same thing every year. And when healthy, he has to blow a lead against Rockets.
Would you take Blake G. for all 3 of our first round picks and some scrubs?
Blake + Nurk + Damon + CJ would be a great foursome.

He and Rose come from the same womb. Constantly injured players is not Portland acceptance.
 
We could keep him on the shelf the whole season and only ball him during the playoffs. I mean, we can win 45 games with Nurk, Damon and CJ alone.

He's a free agent this summer.
 
Looks like he's out for game 3. This is bullshit. The only reason I wanted Portland to make the playoffs was to see how well they could do with Nurk, but the may as well have gone to the lottery.
