I've got a hate for Hitler and Stalin and now I've got a hate for that devious little shit, Trump.

To me, hate is an extreme emotion that we use motivate ourselves to change something asap or get away from it asap.I see it like this. There are many people who I strongly disagree with in terms of the way they approach life, their world views, the things they do, the things they espouse, the hate that they rile up. I'd say, Trump, is one of those people. However, I have a choice I can fuel division and hate or I can fuel compassion and love. Trump much like everyone will get his due (at least in the way I see things). I don't want him in our government sure! I wish he wasn't the one in charge of the country, I wish we could take back the joke that was 2016. However, I firmly believe that I should treat everyone the way I want to be treated, not just the people I agree with, not just the people I like. It goes from the least of these to the greatest of these so to speak. I'm in no way, whatsoever excusing Trump's actions, or Hitlers, or Mao's, or Stalin, or anyone's. It's just the outlook on life I've chosen.
I absolutely understand that it doesn't work for everyone, that others have their own perspectives and I'll respect it. I'm not asking anyone to take my point of view, or preaching on the forum that others should be "like me". I could have life completely wrong, and if I do I would greatly appreciate it if people treated me well regardless, I can't control others though and I have no desire too.
Maybe it's a matter of semantics, what is hate, theres many definitions I suppose.
Fair enough. FWIW I absolutely do not look down on you or River or anyone for how they feel. I understand at least to some extent where the emotions (whatever were calling it) comes from.To me, hate is an extreme emotion that we use motivate ourselves to change something asap or get away from it asap.
Blind anger is another thing. Blind anger is being taught something without any logical basis. e.g. racism
Stupidity is not having the ability to realize your blind anger even when it's logically pointed out several ways and repeatedly.
Emotions that are connected to logic are very helpful tools to motivate us for a better result in life. Emotion without any logical basis is blind stupidity.Fair enough. Though, I will admit political rhetoric and the things thrown around at times Im uncomfortable with, but such is life. My comfort isnt all that important, heh.
I guess the only thing that really bothers me about the divisive nature of our political landscape is I think so much mud has been slung around that people are very, very defensive and if you want people to someday put their hate away, attacking them is not the way to do it in my opinion. Ive got a lot to learn though and I respect your and others opinions.
Wife and I been camped out at Fort Stevens the couple nights It’s been refreshing as the weather has been terrific.Fair enough. Oh Lord, I wish I was salmon fishing.Wife and I been camped out at Fort Stevens the couple nights It’s been refreshing as the weather has been terrific.
This place is like a city as it’s huge but there is peace and harmony which is cool as the youngsters are only experiencing fun and respect in the midst of a huge camp out. Cruising around the loops on my bike I see Old Glory flying from Trailers, Rv,s and tents.
A lot of camo and fishing boats as salmon is hot.
I feel that old since of Americana that our family experience for years.
There are places to go where words of hate and despair don’t have to exist. the only incident that held up traffic in Hammond was a herd of Roosevelt Elk. Right next to us are a bunch of Montanans that came here catch crab and salmon fish.
Nice People and not one political comment or spew.
Went to the Columbia Maritime museum which was fantastic.Oh Lord, I wish I was salmon fishing.
I could drink beer and eat peperoni to my heart's content while boring you to tears with my tails of fish I caught including the 22 lb. steelhead that I almost caught and my buddy's younger brother did catch on a fly pole with a dry fly, dammit, dammit, dammit.Went to the Columbia Maritime museum which was fantastic.

The myths of increased racism, increased violence, increased shootings...are all bullshit Deep State propaganda clearly dis-proven by facts gathered by the FBI, CDC, and daily experience with people.
What I wanna know is how he found out about our weekly meetings on Wednesdays where we surreptitiously plan our deep state propaganda for the week. Did you blab? So, deep state propaganda disproven by... the deep state.

America is fine and most of us get along fine. In fact, I don't know anyone who isn't better off and more at peace with their countrymen now than 5, 10, 20 years ago. Not one.

I recently did a 3 week road trip to the Midwest (and a bit beyond). Whenever I would pull up for the afternoon or evening I would seek out a local watering hole for dinner, drinks and a chance to chat with the locals to try and get somewhat of a feel for the general area and its’ mood. I made sure to tread lightly and I never, ever tried to assume anything or to project my (unavoidable) preconceived notions on anyone. I just wanted to get a better understanding of America in general and that’s tough to do without doing a whole lot of listening. I learned a lot, and I hope the folks I met learned something too. I learned that we all pretty much want the same basic things in life. Where we differ is in how to achieve those things and what we perceive are the obstacles standing in our way. But whether we agreed or not, we kept the conversations respectful and friendly. And I’d like to think I helped to put some of their preconceived notions about our fair state to rest. And as glad as I was to get back home, I can’t wait to get out there and do it again fairly soon. It sure beats getting “educated” by Fox News or CNN.........or the idiot politicians who will say or do anything to get re-elected.Wife and I been camped out at Fort Stevens the couple nights It’s been refreshing as the weather has been terrific.

Most times I see the word hate to describe hyperbole with some kind of situation. This is why I dont hate Trump, or any of these guys. I think they’re fools at times, but I wont let myself get dragged into hate.
