Last season, Deron Williams and Carmelo Anthony were on the outside looking in. If they both make it in this season, who's going to miss out?

Ballots are already made, he'll be on it.

Yes, Roy will make the team this year.

Right now he is averaging 25/5/5, and he has played two pretty shitty games.

Yes.. yes he will.

I think he'll be on it. LaMarcus won't. Rice is fucking more and more senile if he thinks LaMarcus is (going to be) more important than Roy. Rice predicted LaMarcus would be the Blazers MVP.

LA got off to a slow start last year as well.

He like Oden, has to change up top if they are going to improve. Aldridge acts like he has no intent on going to the all star game. He should know that if he is going to be considered for the game, he is going to have to be way better than what he is right now.

When the team is winning, personal accolades for the players are pretty meaningless - but generally harmless. When the team is losing, they are insulting to the fans and the rest of the team.

If Roy and LMA are giving 10 seconds out of their day to think about the all-star game, that's 9.5 seconds too much.

The really interesting thing will be to see who makes the West All-Star team at center. Without Yao (and Duncan being considered a Forward) there is a big hole. After only a couple of games, you have to think the leading candidates are Andrew Bynum, Marcus Camby and Chris Kaman. Camby and Kaman have played great but their numbers will surely go down when Griffin gets healthy. Bynum would probably go with Pau and Kobe to the game.

Al Jefferson would be a consideration but he's also hurt. Okur has been an all-star before. Okafor sometimes puts up solid numbers. Really, it's pretty tough to find a "superstar" center for the West All-star team this year.

As for the original question, I think that David West and Parker (along with Shaq's absence) are what will allow Carmelo and Derron Williams onto the team. Carmelo is a bigger star than David West by far, so the league will want him there.

He'll make the AS team if the blazers are one of the top 3 teams in the west by the voting time. He won't get in on fan votes...it really depends on how the team is doing.
