Whenever someone asks this question after like 5 rosters worth of players were moved I think it's preposterous.

We don't know what our front office could have done, we just know they did nothing besides Duop and two SRPs for Vit and that doesn't sit well with me at least.

That's a cop out. I'm not the one who is acting like they had offers and refused them.

What players did they miss out on? It's a simple question.

Of the players traded that are worth getting upset about, what could the Blazers have offered that matched what the teams got?

Expiring contracts, draft picks, etc?

The team had 2 ending contracts (that would be worth trading for if someone wanted out of a contract), but neither one is really young or a budding star.

The trade for Jaren Jackson Jr included Anderson (1 more year), Hendricks (team options), Niang (ending) and potentially 3 picks (with protections). What offer could Portland have done that would've been better for the Grizzlies? (Also, the 27 Lakers pick is top 5 protected and the 27 draft isn't great, the most favorable of the Cavs, Minnesota or Utah in 27 and the Suns pick in 31).

Portland clearly wasn't willing to give up their pick next year (kinda can't actually) and really shouldn't give up any of the 3 picks they own with the Bucks without being heavily protected.

Was it McCain? Not sure they need *another* PG.

Is it Kennard? Well, the guy they got yesterday is younger, and significantly cheaper, and not a FA after this year.

Maybe they could've gotten Zubac, but that's implying that the Clippers wanted two expiring contracts (Tisse and RW3) over someone like Benedict Mathurin. I'd rather try to re-sign Mathurin over RW3 and Tisse.
