Will the league do anything about Jokic’s antics?

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Actually waiting a game to retaliate would be better the ref's know and will be waiting for anything today. They are going to call everything today to prevent another scrum on the court. Let the Nougats get the brunt of the pitty pat calls take advantage and win game 4 in Portland go back to Denver go caveman on their asses and bring it back to PDX and win the show in game 6.

As a fan I don't know how I feel about all of this, were some of those plays basketball plays? Well no. Going after a guys injury is pretty common in sports though and Ive heard portland fans / news people for days say to attack Murray’s various injuries. Jokic and others on Denver were definitely going after Kanter and it sucks, but that is definitely part of the game, now did they cross the line between “testing” the guys injury and trying to injure him? I really don't know, probably. Definitely shouldve been a foul.
Who said the Blazers should try to injure Murray? Like what, kick him in the leg? I find that hard to believe. Go at him because he's supposedly hobbled, sure. Attack him on offense, drive on his weak side, yes. But not "attack" his injury.

Can't the Blazers send video to the league office and ask the league to review it? I thought they could. In this case, the Blazers could put together a pretty good (bad) montage of shit Jokic has pulled (pushed, yanked, elbowed, shoved, etc). The league absolutely should instruct the refs to keep an eye on Jokic. Problem is, the league seems to be enabling Jokic's bullshit.

I think Jokic was over the line. That was a 'wind up' of am elbow and certainly not basketball play.

However...

Before we get too high and mighty, many a poster was all for going after PG's shoulder and some of the posts were none too subtle in how to accomplish that.
I wasn't one of them, but I'll chime in that if a Blazer had done so it would have been called a flagrant foul, and we'd all know it was deserved. The bigger problem here is that Jokic has committed multiple flagrant fouls, to go along with all kinds of grabbing and pulling and elbowing, but nothing gets called. When something this flagrant happens with no repercussions, it's simply beyond the pale, even for the NBA.

Nothing will be called on that, it appears the NBA is really pumping Jokic as one on its new and upcoming Superstars, probably has something to do with the global dominance its trying to achieve. Fuck him, Fuck Denver, Fuck ESPN, and Fuck Adam Silver.

Fuck that. We have nurk and turk and the storyline between the two is much more compelling that jockitchbith.
Nba can fuck off with thier propped up stars with storylines if they cant figure out which has a better story.

I'm sure they have sent in video. It's common practice

I think the NBA would have said something by now; it's a no call. No fouls, nothing, two fucking games in a row. Fuck Silver, he just cares about making WWF storylines about stars

Why is that ?
I just think the league and everyone has seen it, and if players start their own protesting directly to the league it looks weak. The team can do it on behalf of the player or the league can review on their own.
Im a believer that karma will offset things. And, I think its will give Jokic extra motivation.

Yep, I wanted to go at George, but I was also ok with our guys getting full punishment if they did it in an illegal way. It's pissing me off that Jokic doesn't even get called for a common foul when he does shit that is questionable at best.

It's more likely that Kanter will be fined for his tweet than Jokic will be fined for his flagrant fouls.

Welcome to the NBA

This needs to go right into @Natebishop3 "Why I hate the NBA" thread, so it can get a like from every forum member here.

Pathetically, you are right. Now im gonna go puke for the second time in the last 48 hours.

When the player lined up nearest the rim, he will most always use his weight or arms to block out aggressively. Go back and look at some of the block outs that Lucas used to give out. Loved it!

I wish Kanter wouldn't have tweeted that Jokic shot to the NBA.

I'm glad he said something. Not like one tweet is going to eliminate corruption in the league, but the squeaky wheel gets the grease and exposure forces transparency.

The more this type of bullshit is exposed and out in the open, the more the onus is on the league to do something about it, or risk increasing suspicion of corruption, complicity or at very minimum complacency...

I love it. The dude is taking on the dictorship government of his country. You think the NBA scares him?

I respect your opinion and agree some. Im just old school, where you don't make your beefs public but use other means to voice your grievance.

You should never be afraid to stand up for yourself. You should never choose to avoid conflict over self worth. The only way to make change happen is to act. Those who remain quiet, remain ignored. That said, I respect your old school ways. I am part old school myself....part new school. It's a good mix

Shiit, the NBA doesn't scare him

Welcome to the NBA

That is a sad truth.
