Wilson Chandler to POR?

I think Neil may be in the right here - A first-rounder is too much:

Plus-Minus rank: #411

WAR rank: #73 (position rank)

ORPM rank: #40 (position rank)

PER: 12.3

WS/48: 0.67

These numbers are truly ugly. His +/- is worse than Claver's!

Jeff Green isn't too much better fwiw.

In reply to B-Roy's post about Chandler's down season - it's on par with Batum.

Looking deeper into his numbers I think the reason why we haven't seen a trade for Wilson (yet?) is because Neil doesn't think he's worth giving up a first-rounder for and that's what Denver is holding out for.

Batum is banged up--the guy needs to take a few weeks off once we get RoLo, Freeland, and Crabbe back.

Crabbe is back. He should start. Let batum rest and get right.

I'm still holding out hope that we get Jermaine O'Neal, would still love to get Prince too, but I don't think we clear two spots. Definitely think Claver can be safely removed from the situation, not so sure about Thrill who would probably be the second one out the door.

@SiriusXMNBA: On positions of need Olshey says they are a little thin on the perimeter. Would want to add a piece for playoffs, not to cover injuries

@SiriusXMNBA: Olshey says he'll only make a move if they can add "an impact guy." Wants everyone on the roster to immediately embrace a new guy

Only person I think the entire roster would immediately embrace is Mo Gotti. But Clavers salary doesn't match. It would have to be T-Rob which I'm not sure the team is willing to do.

Sounds like he's paving the way for an acquisition.
Still think Kevin Martin is the best (realistic) option.

IOW someone with experience to do what CJ isn't.

The fact that he said they're thin on the perimeter is an indication to me that a move will be made. I still don't really understand why Crabbe has disappeared from the rotation but whatever.

Martin would work. He can do what dorell did vs the suns, except instead of once a month he could bring that every night.

I actually think something might already be in the works, but with our injuries were holding out until some guys get back because right now we need every body.

As much as people hate him, we sure could use his scoring off the bench this year. He could do what we wish Cj could do

I wouldn't go so far as to say he'd be perfect. But he'd be roughly 100 billion times better than CJ.
I don't know man. I think we lack that perimeter player that can score ISO status, get to the line and take pressure off of our starters

Me either. He was doing good.

Maybe Min wants crabbe and were just sitting him? Why hasn't martin returned to action yet? I kinda think were showcasing CJ honestly. Or at least trying to lol

If you've seen Martin play defense, you'll be the first to do so. We want to be a top defensive team, this is not your guy. Claver and CJ play better defense than he does. If we wanted a shoot first and always guy we could have kept Mo

I don't care about his defense. If mo was a 6'5 shooting guard I'd be ok with him (same with jamal Crawford)

I really care about the defense and if you think Martin scores much cold off the bench, you could be wrong. I don't think Martin or Chandler are worth making offers for. Ray Allen would be a good pickup though. I'm convinced standing pat is the right move

Mo would have been good too, but he decided to take less to go somewhere else

I don't think that's what happened. I think Portland just chose to go a separate direction. Mo himself hinted at that being the case.
