So not only is it freezing here in the North East we are going to get blasted again with another Storm.

Not again. I hate going to Shop Rite and searching for milk and bread when all the clueless humans buy it all. .

Stay warm and throw a few curbside Xmas Trees in t/fireplace. If you don't have a fireplace, the kitchen sink or bathtub will do...
:xmastree:

break out the leftover brandy/eggnog-

Where the hell do they come up with these names for Storms??? Inga, Helga, and Yoder, Winnifred...

We will know when BLM has gained ground, when we begin to get Storms named:
Moesha, Kyesha, Tanisha, Tyrone (shoe laces)....

I won't even tell you how warm it has been back here in SoCal. It would be an insult to injury.:smiley-sun:

If it helps we did get two days of rain though. Mudslides here are unbelievable in fire charred areas; to be expected....

when it rains So Cal, the amount of collisions & fkd up traffic is unbelievable! A crash every quarter of a mile is about the average... cuz it never rains in southern California my ass!!! (Ya' oughta see it when it snows here 'bout every 4-5 yrs)... t/epitome of shit storms....:shitstorm:

from the southern tip of Tejas, to Maine. Check this Winter Weather Warning Map out. All states shown in white, are effected....

My Son called from Lake Charles (LCS) La. said they've got Ice Storms, and 7 degree wind chill, albeit <20 miles from t/Gulf of Mejico...can't imagine how cold it is up north....

...we're actually forecast to get an inch of the white stuff tomorrow morning...Annie is giddy over the prospect.

I bet She is, I'd be also....

great time for baking, what's on the menu....
homeade Toll House and Hot Cocoa???

t/few rare times it snowed here; when we were kids, we'd get a neighbor to pull us around neighborhod streets, on snow skiis or sleds.... timed ourselves, winner got yellow snow ice cream....

Seems like just yesteryear the cows had to be milked daily...
Bread dough had to be made every evening: baked fresh daily...

Thankfully, looks like my area will be in the clear. I've had it with this winter already.

The very reason so many snowbirds fly to FLA... From New York/New York...

There was a time when Grumman (A Bethpage, N.Y. Corp), had six facilities in different locations throughout FLA...

speaking of driving in inclimate weather, or just bad traffic period. I've got this on my wish list....(built by the creators of the film and its cars- "the Fast and Furious"*** )...

footage on Streets, Desert and even an indoor Mall in Dubai; from Amazon's show: Grand Tour, (BBC's old Top Gear 3 stooges)-

***WTF is it??? A Ripsaw EV2

compared to this, its sunbathing weather in the US....

MOSCOW (AP) — Even thermometers can't keep up with the plunging temperatures in Russia's remote Yakutia region, which hit minus 67 degrees Celsius (minus -88.6 degrees Fahrenheit) in some areas Tuesday.

In Yakutia — a region of 1 million people about 3,300 miles (5,300 kilometers) east of Moscow — students routinely go to school even in minus 40 degrees. But school was canceled Tuesday

Without Grumman we never could have matched and defeated the Japanese in WW2. Wildcat to hold the line and Hellcat to waste the Mitsubishi A6M "Zero" and the "Oscar". The aircraft supplier to the US Navy and Marines! Of course the P-38 by Lockheed Lightening and the F4U Corsair are also in the group.

My part of NJ is not targeted. I suppose the storm will stay right on the Hunterdon county border. I could watch it go by on Rt.29 N

Wow! Probably it has Monroe shock absorbers, capabilities to launch rocketed weapons and waste little morons in Fiats. But, is it equipped for snow removal?

It is what every American family that trades in their Hummer would want. As you may surmise, I like the SRV vids and the vid of the Latino Cockatiels. I have 5 tiels. My Latino (white ones) died last year from egg bound conditions. She was 17 years old. Her partner was/is a sex maniac.IMG_2366.JPG thumbnailO83IEUTV.jpg IMG_2476.JPG

Amen....

Grumman held/holds a monopoly (a good thing) on Naval AC since WWII to this day. Ntm- the X-47, also a Northrop Grumman Naval UCAV...

-and- let's not forget: the North American Aviation Org's P-51 Mustang, a later entry in WWII, with RRM engines & a Laminar Flow wing, the P-51 was a game changer, enabling bomber escorts/& dogfights. Last mission for a USAF P-51: 1968. Other foreign nations flew the P-51 in their Air Forces aresenal as late as the early 80's...

Sure just ask for the Front/Side and Rear Flame Throwers....

I found this Car Salesman (shown below), who talked me into ordering not 1 but 2 Ripsaw's. 1 for City driving, the other for Freeway Driving....

Amazon must of paid Millions to shoot this scene, unlike the Blues Bros Mall ride (which cost little to nothing, since the Mall t/Blues Bros car scene was filmed in was undergoing major rennovations. The Blues Bros movie actually enabled a lot of the Malls planned destruction; prior to those rennovations)....

anyone wanna' go to the Mall....I'm driving. One can buy the Ripsaw in a 1, 2 or 4 seater,....the answer to driving amongst idiots....~!!!~

These things get approximately 3 mpg, well worth it...

small world of commonalities....

last weekend watched/listened to SRV at Montreux- both 82 & 85. As you well know 85's SRV Montreux experience is available on DVD, and well worth the price, but I bet you already own it....A Classic player, a towering Giant amongst men and boys....love how he opened with Scuttle Buttin'....

Kim used to breed, raise Cockatiels, and Budgies. I converted our Garage for 2 yrs into a Aviary for her. 150 breeding Budgies, 90 breeding Tiels, she supplied every pet store in this area, as well as private sales in t/area too.... now I'm digging for pics of our Son with Tiels on his shoulders, while playing with the Ghostbuster Mobile w/Budgies riding along....that was 30 yrs ago...!
