Mine are coming in right now and are painful as fuck. Have any of you had your wisdom teeth pulled? Is it common for it to only be painful on one side?

Do you have good insurance? If so here's the deal:

Get them done one side at a time that way you can still eat afterwords. Plus you'll get twice the meds ;)

You're lucky I still have two wisdom teeth that are still below the gum line and haven't poked through on my lower jaw. And I'm now 34 and theres no way I am going to have the dentist dig into my jaw to pull them out. My brother had his jaw dug into to get his out and I won't ever do that. I know what he went through. I will wait until mine push into my other teeth when its a horrible discomfort. Every few years I get some pain like the teeth are pushing through put the pain only lasts for 3-5 days and then its gone again.

All my wisdom teeth were still below my gum line when I got them pulled. All they do is slice open your gums and pull them out. It's not as bad as it sounds, trust me. Not that bad.
