Would be better than Mo right now. You could pencil in Dre for 6 assists a night with Aldridge Robinson or Leonard even.

I am a huge Dre fan. Love his game but if we had kept him last season would have been a cluster fuck. He would have wanted to start. It would have been a battle and a distraction all season long.
Hasn't he accepted his role on the bench now?
Last season he was still saying he should be starting in Denver. He would have said the same in Portland with a rookie pg.
I really liked him but he is cursed when it comes to the playoffs. No matter how well he plays his teams lose the series.
I wonder if we could pick him up. I can't imagine Denver would want much.
All true except the iron man streak part. I'm pretty sure that ended when Ginger Griffin got away with two hard pushes in Andre's back, no call of course, so Andre drilled him out of bounds to make his point, resulting in a league suspension. You're probably thinking about Nate starting Blankey over Andre in this early AM.Loved it when Dre was here. Such an even-keeled player.
He was one of the guys to call McMillan on his crap early on, with that argumaent at practice.
McMillan rewarded him by ending his 'Ironman' streak.
So glad McMillan is history.

Just think about this... With dre, we have no Felton. With no Felton, our team wouldn't probably have the mutiny of Nate. Since Wallace was part of that mutiny, the trade between New Jersey wouldn't have happen and we lose dame.
So no I do not wish we still had miller
For years people kept saying if we hadn't picked Martell Webster over Chris Paul we'd have never got Oden. Back when Oden was a good thing.
If Walton was healthy would we have got Drexler? At some point it needs to stop and we can judge each move in isolation. Getting rid of Miller for Felton was a terrible move.
Dre is quite a bit older now, if Denver keeps losing, which I definitely expect, they might look at trading him away to save a couple bucks. Part of his contract is guaranteed next season. If we could flip say Mo Williams to Miami or Houston or another contender and have Denver get salary relief they might give us Dre for almost nothing.
When Dre was here the main problem was his outside shooting. In the Dallas series we had Dre, Gerald, Camby all on the floor together and spacing was a nightmare. There was still thoughts of Roy returning and our PG needing to play off the ball. Those are distant times now. I've never seen shooting as good as we have on this years roster, Mo skillset is pretty redundent with Dam, Wes, Nic, Wright, LA, and a healthy CJ. You don't need 5 guys on the court at the 3 point line! That shooting could greatly complement Dre's skillset. I'd love to see him brought back. With a new GM and new coach I don't think he'd have any ill feelings about returning to our team. Aldridge praised Dre for his time here while he's been a Nugget.
Nah I wouldn't want that still. I think mo will prove to be more valuable to us. The one thing miller doesn't have is a three point shot; which will create mismatch problems. Is rather have all our wings able to drain the three, so we can keep the defense honest
I love dre and I don't doubt he would help this club. I'm just hoping that CJ will be our guard of the future. I also think dre would have a problem coming off the bench. Whatever the case, I doubt we have a shot at getting him.
He has been fine coming off the bench in Denver. From day one he said Lawson was a better player and deserved to play in front of him. He just wants to be on the court and thought he was good enough to start for many teams. Its more of a veteran confidence that you want to see in all players than any sort of poor attitude.

Because we didn't know Brandon was done. Had he retired at the beginning of the off-season rather than at the end, we never would have traded Miller. Up until the moment he retired the first time, we were focused on building around Brandon instead of trying to replace him.Getting rid of Miller for Felton was a terrible move.

They took him at his word when he said, "My knees feel great!"The last year it was obvious Roy was never going to be the player he once was. He visited multiple specialists who said there was no way to fix his knees. His knees were in far worse shape than Odens. In the Dallas series he couldnt guard a chair and outside of game 4 had a horrific series. If the Blazers were still building the team around him after all of that they are more incompetent than I thought.
I would love to get Dre back on the team, but we just don't have any big, nasty, bloated contracts on the team right now. It's a really good thing, but it also makes it impossible to make a trade
Our biggest contracts right now are Aldridge, Batum, Wes, an Lopez. This is one of the first times this team hasn't had a huge bloated contract on the books. It's kinda refreshing.
Dre only makes $5 million so it would be very easy to construct a trade. Mo Williams and Will Bartons salaries match up.
