With Cho in place and Matthews hopefully official, what now?

I'm just curious have you said anything good about this team in the past three seasons other then when Sergio got decent minutes? You make Mixum look like the eternal optimist.

You can't take Maris seriously. He is just another one of the many characters housed within this community.

Official Tuesday 5pm PST.

That's what I'd heard, too (maybe on Courtside?)... do you have a source for that?

I would bet it's tonight at 5pm PST, given the lack of formal announcement about him becoming a Blazer.

Ed O.

During an interview yesterday, Larry Miller said it was yesterday, but nobody seemed completely sure about it.

I guess it hardly matters since there will be no doubt in 4 1/2 hours.

Done deal apparently:

Official: Wesley Matthews has joined the #Blazers. Team is finalizing contract details, but deal is 100-percent done — #Jazz did not match.

I'm not sure how happy Wesley is going to be playing the Rudy role this year. Read some quotes that made it sound like he was sure Utah would match and wanted to stay in Utah so he could start.

He goes from a 37 mpg player in the playoffs last year while making <$460k to a 25 mpg role player off the bench this year making ~$9 million.

At that price, he'd better be 6th Man of the Year quality, or head and shoulders above Rudy, at the very least.

Shouldn't we set the bar a bit higher then "Play better then a whining vagina that tanked the second half of last season so he could go back to being a big fish in a small pond"?

Hey, I'm trying to help out Matthews by setting a low bar in addition to my 6th Man high bar.
