The whole idea of the draft is to worry about the projection of every player, be it 18 years old or otherwise, that statement does not make sense to me.
If you think this guy has a reasonable chance to be Giannis, sure, if you think he only has a reasonable chance to be Parsons... that's quite a difference, no?
Obviously it'd be great if he turns into another Giannis, but at 7 -- in a draft that doesn't have star power, getting a Chandler Parsons would be a success. Moreover, as far as how he plays -- which is what the context of your response seemed to be addressing -- he's 18 with a ton of natural athleticism, his game could still be shaped in any number of different ways depending on coaching, scheme, physical and mental development, etc.
All I'm saying is I wouldn't get too hung up on specific player levels or styles with a raw 18 year old. Knecht? Sure.
