...the Yanx had multiple chances and multiple options to address 2B since Cano left...Cashman has failed miserably. Ryan and Drew are terrible and while I don't think Refsnyder would be any worse, I'm not sure he'd be any better either.
...though the Yanx will surely give him some playing in September, I think it's just a courtesy and not so much out of need. Both Seve and Bird were called up only because of injuries and were a necessity... Refsnyder?...meh, not so much, but I'd love to see the kid surprise everyone and take the job from Drew and Ryan.

So I started to just speculate that if Cashman was worth a bag of balls, he would reach out and explore the possibilities. Just dreaming but, what if Cashman called the new GM out in Seattle and said "Wanna take 25 million off your 2016 Payroll and whatever is left. I would love Cano back for only money and a A or AA player. Not going to happen, but would you be for it or against it in theory?

Frank honestly I don't see Robertson going anywhere.

The initial report I heard on MLB radio when I was driving. They said if anything was going to happen the 2 sides would have to engage by 2:30 or 3PM. Then when I got to office I went on several sights and I read what most all of you read into it, that is appears to be a blocking tactic. However you never know?

Cashman would trade Severino, get Cano, and brag about how he fleeced Seattle into picking up 100 K per year of Canos remaining deal. Sound ridiculous, maybe but with Cashman anything is possible. For real, Cano made his choice, turned out to be a bad one. In time he'll be screaming to get out of Seattle like Reyes is crying to get out of Colorado.
