Woj: Batum trade to CHA for Vonleh and Henderson

Wow didn't expect this so soon! I believe the players, Lamarcus and Wes in particular had given up on Nic, especially when I see that Lamarcus knew about the trade and it's independent of free agency.

I think it means Wes might be gone too. Henderson as starting 2. If LA knew about this trade and he's coming back then that probably means Kaman is gone and then they'll pursue a top center and Meyers/Vonleh will be the bigs off the bench

If Henderson is suddenly a starter for us then we're as sad and boring as the fucking Charlotte Hornets. He's the very picture of slightly below average NBA player. of course, that makes him way better than the last player Olshey traded for.

HERE TO SERVE UP SOME CROW TO NIC BATUM APOLOGISTS

Why does him getting traded make people eat crow? Him being traded doesn't make one camp right and the other wrong.

Gotta love all you experts bashing the move before it's even final & other deals/signings are made. In Neil I trust, gotta wait to see how the entire off-season plays out first. I'm sure Neil has a plan.
Didn't LaMarcus post on social media about players not working as hard as him. Maybe Batum is one of those teammates & this move will make LMA happy.

I would just feel better if Olshey would consult with the forum before he made any moves, deals, or draft picks.

We are all experts and he never takes advantage of our vast knowledge.

Wow I'm in shock. Batum had a rough year but wow.
no surprise to me at all, as I have said for weeks/months lets get something of value for him now because he's not coming back to POR after next yr and I don't want him - adios Nic

I like this trade.

Maybe it is because I am a Hoosier, but loved Noah's potential at IU. It will take some time but great upside.

Henderson is a gamer.

Rasta is pissed because we only have one international player still on the team, and that could end very soon.

I see that Vonleh is a quick leaper. That was much needed in the front court.

Is it possible that the LACK of draft pick being involved is due to not wanting the cap hold (sucking up the additional 3+ mill in cap space) so we can throw big money at a 6+ year VET FA?

Just because Aldridge was consulted doesn't mean he's coming back.

Just 2 years ago as a FRESHMAN at Indiana, he was good for 17 points, 13.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks (adj per 40) shooting 52% from the field and 48% from '3'. Through in his Okafor sized hands, 37" vertical and massive wingspan and I like the looks of this a LOT in a year or so.

In that case we could have got a future 2nd at the very least. Our cupboard is getting quite bare when it comes to picks.

Vonleh will be great with Leonard, bye kaman!

Henderson is the Wes' replacement. We are going to target a shooter now in the draft.

How much more space do we need for LA and Hibbert? LA wanted it the first time, maybe they are making a play for the big center.
If he opts out...

Then they will draft a SF

Damn, Rasta is so mad, he actually changed his avatar. I don't ever remember a different avatar for him since I've been here.

No I completely understand. I just loved watching him develop from his wide eyed rookie year starting through all the years of change--the one constant was Batum/LA/Wes.
