Woj: Batum trade to CHA for Vonleh and Henderson

In other news, there is a KY Jelly shortage in the Portland Metro Area.

A boy who would only offer the name "RoyToy" has ordered all he could find, in an effort to play with his toy, according to "sources".

Here comes Wheels on radio now beginning to trash Nic already. Why the fuck didn't you call him out during the season, dumbass?
What did he say about Nic? Wheeler is a company man that will praise anything the Blazers do.

Assuming they keep this guy, look at what the coaches managed to do with developing Meyers so far, and this guy was seen as a top four pick? That's exciting.

At least with Henderson you know he'll show up ready to play every night

Surprised at how far Batum's value has fallen. The guy almost got a triple double a couple of times last season.
It's more about consistency and willingness to step up. Terrence Ross scored 51 points last season, doesn't mean he's a great scorer or player (his PER is 11 and he only averaged 9.8 ppg on 41% shooting this last season).

What team did Noah Vonleh start his career with might be a good trivia question some day. Kinda like people forget Kevin Johnson was a Cav, Rasheed was a Bullet, Laimbeer was a Cav.

Okay maybe I'm getting ahead of myself.

Finally!! was against giving him the money back during the Twolves offer debacle. See ya Nic! Now you can complain about playing hurt on another team. NO is cake baking something delicious. More to come I think.

We added young front court depth and cap space to sign an impact FA or two.....How is that rebuild mode?

Added a lotto pick, a slasher/mid-range guy we didn't have, cap space...for an overly inconsistant mercurial talent that cared much more about playing for France than Portland. Besides, we'd won 2 of our last 10 playoff games...not exactly like we were knocking on the door of a title.

I have nothing to add to this, I have just been away for so long, and I am surprised the forum added 219 other lesbian transgender gay people with the same name

Exactly. I don't see all the negativity with this deal others do.

I hate to see Nic go, but I really like Vonleh's potential and I think this team needed to make a move like this to avoid getting stuck in neutral. You lose Nic who is a good player for a guy with star upside and gain $3 million in cap space; that's a deal you make.

I was a Nic fan, but for what we gave up and what we received in return, whether this move was intended to keep both players, or use either as a trade chip, I don't see how we didn't get better. Plus, the extra cap space, though it doesn't sound like much, could be quite valuable.

Here's the other issue that really isn't being talked about:

I think he leaves regardless when he becomes a FA next summer. I don't think he really wanted to be here before, and I'm pretty sure he signs somewhere else next summer. I don't think Charlotte has a chance in hell of retaining him.

Yeah, I'm thinking they gave up on Vonleh for a one year rental of Batum, that doesn't seem like a very good trade to me for them. How is Cho still the gm there?

That too.

Personally, I think it could signal the end to RoLo here. I think management is thinking bigger at center. RoLo was most effective on offense in his interactions with Batum. RoLo's effectiveness in our offense LIKELY just took a serious hit.

They could plan on using the great white hope as a stretch 5?
