They probably like Zeller more.
FWIW they have been trying to trade Zeller for a wing. Maybe they intend to move Nic.

Here's the other issue that really isn't being talked about:
I think he leaves regardless when he becomes a FA next summer. I don't think he really wanted to be here before, and I'm pretty sure he signs somewhere else next summer. I don't think Charlotte has a chance in hell of retaining him.
Personally, I think it could signal the end to RoLo here. I think management is thinking bigger at center. RoLo was most effective on offense in his interactions with Batum. RoLo's effectiveness in our offense LIKELY just took a serious hit.
Henderson will play with heart and will be a breath of fresh air.
They could plan on using the great white hope as a stretch 5?
While I am coming around on this trade I do think this is spot on:
There was a reason why our team was unstoppable when Batum was on. If we have a true legit third option, we can be unstoppable again with more consistency.Funny. I'm pretty sure most of us would've traded Batum for last year's #9 and Henderson. I would have, and anyone that follows knows I've been a big Batum supporter. I love Batum, great glue guy, but his inconsistency hurts.
I wouldn't have last year. He was coming off arguably his best season and didn't shit the bed in the playoffs (like he usually does). I didn't like that draft after the top 3 though so that is probably most of it.Funny. I'm pretty sure most of us would've traded Batum for last year's #9 and Henderson. or not . . .They probably like Zeller more.
Blue9 must be really upset. The player he loves is traded and the player he hates will most likely stay. I expect we won't be seeing him the same for a few weeks
How is Cho still the gm there?

Too bad we don't always have the foresight. If we did then we would all have won the lottery by now and it would have shut down due to bankruptcy. As Bill Walsh said, better to get rid of a player one year to early that one year too late.

I'd argue he guarded gasol better than rolo. Rolo looked lost and almost useless in that seriesMaybe; in my opinion, he's not ready for prime time for another couple of optimistic years yet. But you never know; he was very effective in the playoffs. Confused the hell out of Gasol, and held his own against him in the post (no worse than Rolo).
I thought Tellem signed on with the front office of a team somewhere recently..wouldn't that be a conflict of interest juggling clients?Q. Before becoming a Blazer, what did Gerald Henderson have in come with Dorell Wright, Robin Lopez and LaMarcus Aldridge?

A. All four players have the same agent, Arn Tellem.
Hope Tellem and Olshey working together in the Henderson to Blazers trade is a good indicator that they are also working together to re-sign LMA, Rolo and maybe even Dorell with the Blazers.
