I thought Tellem signed on with the front office of a team somewhere recently..wouldn't that be a conflict of interest juggling clients?
Vonleh played high school in New Hampshire, a tiny state. So did Will Barton, Thomas Robinson, Nerlens Noel, Matt Bonner...

Are you saying he looks bigger than he really is because the state was tiny?
I just did the calculation. Turns out that 23% of the state is high school basketball players.
So I signed the papers to become an agent and I move there tomorrow.

I guess Nic shouldn't've led the league in miles run on the court then.
Smart move. 15% of 23% is a lot of money.
Interestingly, both Henderson and Vonlay had higher PER last season than batum...
I hear you. Just was an interesting tidbit that's all. PER can be looked at a number of different ways.I really really don't think that was lost on Olshey. Not saying he's a PER Only guy, but Nic's season last year was awful.

I'm feeling rather dense. Can you expound on that ortg idea some more, please?Totally.
Looking at Vonleh's stats, they were actually favorably comparable to Nic's pre-ASG stats. Like, shooting % and 3Pt%. Plus, and I like this, his DRtg (102) is lower than Charlotte's overall DRtg (103.5), which is pretty good news for his potential. Also, his ORtg (99) was about in line with Charlotte's ORtg (100.1), which says his "underachieving" might have more to do with the Hornets than with him.
He's a total project, but young and surrounded byKim Hughes and his Big Men Success Stories.

experienceWhich raises a whole new question.
Top ten pick on a weak team and has a decent PER....and he couldn't get any minutes. What's missing?

He couldn't get minutes behind Zeller and big Al? <shrug>Which raises a whole new question.

Offensive Rating: basically how many points a team or player would score in 100 possessions. In the case of players, if they were the shooter in 100 possessions, how many points would they score.
Behind Big Al, Zeller, Marvin Williams, Biyomba, and Maxiel. He couldn't get minutes behind Zeller and big Al? <shrug>

Sounds like missing training camp and being 19 on a team with a coach who likes vets syndrome. This might be over-selling it but that sounds like Jermaine O'Neal Syndrome.

FTFYThe reason Charlotte played those experienced guys over Vonleh, age 19: At .402 with 33 wins, they were a respectable team in the East trying to make the playoffs to get smashed in the 1st round.
