Which part of Detroits team chemistry going to hell do you not understand? It doesn't matter if it was the playoffs or regular season, that team had chemistry issues, coaching issues, AI issues, you name it. They barely make the playoffs and get rolled by the #1 team. That is exactly what you expect to happen. Everybody on the team got rolled. It doesn't make them bad players. It makes them a bad team.

The facts are that Tayshaun Prince was just part of the olympic team which is the elite of the elite. His game didn't slide. Nobody here mentions that Curry was trying to make him run the point most of the time. Nobody here mentions that he was being used as the focal point of the offense when that isn't his game. He is a good scorer, but not a guy to carry a team. He was asked to do too much because Billups was traded. It was a bad situation for him, and for everybody else on that team.

At the same time, Boozer went public mid way through the season and burned every bridge he had there to the point where the fans don't want him around anymore for the most part. That is much different than performing badly. Boozer has been injured for a large part of his career which has added to this frustration. Prince has not. Maybe while were at it, we'll check and see how many of the other olympians are being traded. Not many. Why didn't you compare him to them? Selective presentation for the argument?

Teams make moves because to benefit the team. It makes no sense compare why one team is making a move to another team's motives. They have two totally different teams on two different paths. One is a playoff team. One is not and is trying to rebuild without hitting the lotto. One has salary cap problems. The othe does not. One has few bargaining chips to try and improve the team. The other has a dearth of PF and is over the cap. The Pistons are far under the cap. One team just signed Charlie Villenueva. Two completely different situations.

It's obvious that Detroit is holding out for more than just Boozer, and that 'more' should come from us. It's obvious that since Prince is mostly a SF, we could lose one of our many Small-Forwards since Prince +1 is enough for the position.
The first question is, who are we sending out? Outlaw or Batum? Outlaw has long been regarded as the odd-man-out in case we're trading for a small forward, but doesn't Prince's resemblence to Batum makes you rethink that? Would you rather have Prince and Outlaw or Prince and the next Prince? I guess I don't have a definite answer.
The next question - who else does Detroit trade in order to make enough room for both Boozer and (say) Outlaw? If they lose even Kwame, not to mention Maxiell, they would ask for something up-front, which we don't really have. maybe send Claver to Utah and Make them send that Koufus (sp?) dude to Detroit?

Bottom line: Would you trade Millsap, Outlaw and Claver for Prince and Kwame Brown?

I would not. IMO, I think that Millsap is better than Prince. So I would not want to give up Paul for Tay. Then to lose Travis for basically an expiring contract (because we wouldn't use Brown, would we?) is too much for me!
